  1. He's also a lousy hitter with no strikes and one strike on him, too. Right now, he looks completely lost at the plate, and it's getting increasingly difficult for any of us to watch his continuing futility at the plate.
  2. ... and putting the ball in play, a concept we still haven't quite figured out yet.
  3. Looks like we have our strikeout shoes on tonight, again. Therefore, I'm not anticipating much, if any, more run scoring tonight. Sigh!
  4. Just about like last night -- no pitching and not nearly enough hitting. It's going to be a looong season if this keeps up much longer. AARGH!
  5. Not paying attention to the provided suggestions. Oops!
  6. I don't necessarily disagree with that thought. However, I just think that SWR would be the next man up at this point.
  7. Yet another game this season with no pitching and not nearly enough pitching. UGGH!
  8. I think it's time to move Varland to the pen and try SWR as a starter instead. Can't hurt to try at this point. Unsure on the corresponding roster move at this point.
  9. I was actually thinking of turning the game on. After reading what's been going on, I think I'll pass on this one. Yet another game with absolutely no hitting, and no real pitching either. Problem is that none of that surprises me anymore.
  10. And now Correa has left Friday's game against Detroit with a strained oblique. I wonder how long he'll be out with that. Go figure!
  11. How about that, we won't get shut out tonight. Yippee!
  12. Agree strongly with the last statement in the post. In the end, it's not the fault of the front office and/or Rocco for the poor results thus far, it's the players themselves (with an exception or two) not playing to anywhere close to what they should be or definitely are capable of. That this team has largely been this way since before Falvine and Rocco arrived, in my opinion, goes largely unnoticed. Not any kind of excuse, just an observation on my part. That being said, I wish I had a good answer for all our problems now, but I don't.
  13. In my mind, nothing much is going to change with this team until the overall hitting philosophy changes, and I'm not expecting that to happen any time soon.
  14. You clearly haven't missed much.
  15. Going quietly into the night, with barely even a whimper. Pathetic!
  16. On the verge of going quietly into the night, again. Apart from the 2-run homer from Margot, I believe we have the awesome total of no runs on one hit, with one walk. Just awesome, NOT. And no, the well hit balls that turned into outs were just that, more outs. That's just desperately trying to find something/anything positive to say. Disgusting!
  17. Very few pitchers can, and we don't have any of them.
  18. Like your optimism, but I'm not anticipating anything "amazing" in the next two series, especially from the so-called offense, which has become extremely offensive most of the season thus far.
  19. Starting to look like a repeat of the first half of last season. Definitely not a good thing to be repeating.
  20. Allan Lee Anderson was born January 7, 1964 in Lancaster, OH. He graduated from Lancaster high school in 1982 and was drafted by the Twins as the 3rd pick in the second round of the 1982 MLB amateur draft. He pitched for parts of six seasons with the Twins (1986 to 1991), finishing his career with a 49-54 record and a 4.11 ERA. Anderson is currently with the Columbus (Ohio) Fire Department, as a Captain. He is also a real estate agent and auctioneer in his home town of Lancaster and he also runs an indoor sports facility in Lancaster. View full player
