  1. I know, but I had to get my binoculars to see who was playimg!
  2. What if he misses the plate?
  3. Hmmmmm did he stumble around the bag? That said he might not have made it anyway. Excellent relay by Lindor.
  4. OR, you're no longer married?
  5. In her defense sports, unless the kids are playing are a waste of time. But, she would watch Vikings games with her hubby. One day he scored some tickets to the old dome. After a few plays she asked "where's the blue line"? He asked what blue line? Her: The blue line (first down) I always see on TV games. She thought that was on the field and they moved it all the time. I cannot believe I helped her through college. Lol
  6. Don't forget his first HR today. That was a bit off the plate. Can't believe I was ninjaed by a guy who is wrong 25% of the time.
  7. My daughter always calls them points. She comes from, and married into a baseball family. I told her one day I would buy her a new car if she could correctly interpret the IF Fly Rule on the spot. I had no concerns whatsoever of car shopping.
  8. Clevimger: sorry I missed with those two low pitches. Where would you like the next one? Dozier: Dont tell anyone, but I almost exclusively hit one pitch for HR's. FB high in the zone, just a hair inside the middle of the plate. Mums the word, it's a well kept secret. Clevenger: How is this one? Dozier: it was ok, but just a tad more inside next time.
  9. Well they tried it both ways, leave in starter, bring in reliever. The Cleveland managers is an idiot!
  10. Pitches 26,27,28,30,2, and 3. 6 out of last 8 games?
  11. I won't go back and look at the innings or appearances, but it seems like Pressley appears in every game. And isn't really bad at all.... But can one go to the well too often.
  12. Well you got half your wish, but it was Lindor who wore out Gibby.
  13. I have come to the conclusion that Sanos plate discipline is in direct proportion to the pitchers ability to throw low outside sliders. .
  14. They often appeared in the same inning.
  15. That was a professionally struck baseball. It had everything. Exit velocity, launch angle, and a center fielder who could not leap tall buildings in a single bound.
  16. Am watching w/o sound and could not figure out why that wasn't challenged. Must have been another view showing a missed tag.
  17. He basically swatted that low outside off the pitch plate like he was holding a canoe paddle. Hitting it was one thing, hitting it with any authority was another. If, and it's a big if, you can continue to make good contact on those kind of pitches, you become very difficult to get out.
  18. Since many of these categories contain what would seem to be unsustainable contributions by individuals, it this a good thing or a bad thing? Or just a thing to ponder and appreciate? Therein lies the question.
  19. This would not have prevented virulent criticism of Molitor for not bringing in a LOOGY to face him in the ninth!
  20. I had heard rumors of how bad the Cleveland bullpen is. The rumors didn't do the real thing justice. Is this how we looked to other teams in past years? . They are so bad.......... How bad are they? They are so bad whenever they change pitchers they should bring two in. The second one could just hang in the dugout waiting, he won't have time to cool down.
  21. Totally agree. With one caveat. I am not much of a "I just wanna get in the playoffs guy". I want a fair chance to do some damage. And if the powers that be get a chance to make a move that would be controllable, and greatly improve us in the next three years, while we are still muddling around .500, I would look seriously at it. I know that's a narrow caveat, but I wouldn't put all my eggs in this years basket either.
  22. Instead of a portable charcoal grill for the back yard, I bought one of thos heavy steel ones the county and state parks use, and buried the mounting pipe right off the ground level deck. Stand on the deck and grill. Works nice, never have to put it away in winter, and it won't blow away in the wind. A few weeks ago one of the posters said him and his wife were out on the grill, grilling something. This would have held both of them nicely! . I
  23. I didn't even think he was a short term answer! . But seriously, if he had remained a deep backup and P/H (who was used that way) he was better than some of the alternatives. I imagine the first day of every week the pitchers would draw straws to see who got the short one. And him. I thought he looked like he had bad hands last year, and I doubt anything has changed.
