    As someone who hangs out in game threads pretty often, and always have, I don't wish to keep anyone out. The more the merrier. It's quite easy to ignore those who add no value. Or maybe even give em a little poke in the ribs on occasion. People fan differently.

    You're not being fair to Rocco here, Bri. I mean, when you PH Margot for a LHed hitter in the 5th inning, who could possibly forsee that lineup spot coming up to hit again--maybe twice even--later in the game? And against a RH reliever, no less?

    I don't think it's a reading comprehension issue. I think it's a "contorting oneself into somehow laughably imagining this is in any possible way related to making the world a better place" issue.

    If the SS trips trying to field our ground ball, stop running to 1st until we learn if the SS hurt himself. In fact, the Seattle hitter who should have been out when Jeffers couldn't find the foul popup should declare himself out. I mean, fair play is fair play.

    You folks did a fine job of bringing home a W last night. You're going to need to do it again. I'll be watching those young kids "The Rolling Stones" up in Glendale. Some may disagree, but I think they might just have some staying power. Bring home a W, ladies and germs. That's an order.

    Texas is up 11-0 on Oakland in the top of the 2nd. Sent 16 batters to the plate in the 2nd inning. Marcus Simien is a triple short of a cycle.

    I don't think that's what Bean meant. It's certainly not what I meant. The see-through-pants thing is a separate issue. And not D. St Peter's fault. The Twins "rebranding" is the issue.

    Not at all ready to believe in SWR. That said, concur with Bean he's got some leash at this point. For one thing there's limited alternatives. And he was legitimately great last night. It didn't look anything like "lucky" to me. He dominated that Seattle lineup. A lineup currently above .500 and expected to contend in the ALW.

    I doubt that's accurate. I do agree on the "rebranding" though. Another marketing cluster****. Completely unneeded, to start with. Do the Yankees "rebrand?" The Red Sox? But the decision was made...and then bungled badly. The new design is awful.

    But on a serious note, the very few constant negative Nancys are easy to ignore. As are the very few always positive pollyannas. Interesting discussion requires different viewpoints. Please don't turn the forums into "Twins rule, Sox drool." I mean, that's true of course.

    A brutally bad offseason, no doubt. Announcing a payroll slash days after winning your first postseason series in 2 decades might be the worst marketing decision since new Coke. Letting your CY Award runnerup leave without even a handshake, much less any attempt to keep him, or at least replace him...not going to play well. 14384 announced attendance at Target Field last night, and there were nowhere near that many actually there. Sometimes you get to lie in the bed you made.
