  1. If you look up "Schlub" in Funk and Wagnals there's a picture of Stroman.
  2. Eddie just doesn't have soft hands. Never will. He's been better at 2nd. But he just wasn't born with soft hands. WAY down the list of immediate or long term issues, though.
  3. Castro. Again. Feet stuck in cement as an easily catchable ball sails over his head.
  4. And as noted, can't blame it on the lineup tonight. Can't chalk it up to a good opposing pitcher.
  5. It's Marcus Stroman FFS. He is the definition of mediocre at best. Do something.
  6. Men against boys. And jeez, Lopez. Could you possibly pitch any worse?
  7. Holy **** Castro. That's at least 3 misplays in 11 innings.
  8. Ambush that 1st pitch fastball. middle middle not a good idea.
  9. Small sample size, but Delmon Young is easily better than.what Martin has showed.
  10. False. Ohtani, Betts, Freeman, Hernandez play almost every day. Will Smith has more PAs than any Twin. There is zero evidence "load management" is beneficial. There are teams playing their best players virtually every day. As they should.
  11. You know who doesn't worry about "workload management?" The Dodgers, Braves, Yankees and Orioles. The four best teams in the game. If their best players are healthy, they play. Every day.
  12. Martin has been among the worst outfielders I've seen in my 60+ years of watching the Twins. Inconceivably bad.
  13. And those of us who had ALREADY paid for those games lost them, and were expected to pay for yet another service. There is zero chance Roku ends up free, BTW. Streaming services aren't free, at least not for long.
  14. You remember correctly. And all it accomplished was to decrease the number of people able to watch, and piss them off. I know, because I was one of them, and complaints were loud and numerous on Gopherhole. Peacock isn't free, BTW. Splintering coverage is a stupid idea.
  15. Martin has been among the worst outfielders I've seen in 60+ years of Twins baseball. Absolutely awful. He's been directly responsible for multiple runs already and that is tough to do in a few weeks. And that's on top of a mid-.600s OPS with zero power. Get him back to St Paul, ASAP.
  16. Heh. Examine that statement, closely.
  17. Tonight's outfield play by the Twins was not major league. Castro was awful, and the Twins can't continue to run Martin out there. To top it off, tonight's lineup was about as weak as you'll ever see from a MLB team.
  18. that's slighly misleading since the Twins have played fewer games than all but 2 teams. Going into tonight's game the Twins had the 26th most innings pitched. Over 30 innings behind San Diego, who leads MLB. It would follow then that the Twins would have fewer relief IP. But I agree Baldelli generally follows current orthodoxy regarding starter innings.
  19. Leave it to RpR to make us all chuckle with some nonsense.
