    I dont know for sure, but I dont think thats accurate. That's a special situation covered under the standard MLB player's contract. In virtually every employment situation, contracts must be honored no matter if the fired employee accepts further employment.

    We dont know when the Twins renewed his contract. We only know when the beat reporter's report came out. For that matter, AFAIN the Twins haven't confirmed (or denied) the report.
