    Rocco said pregame that Kepler is definitely getting better and that he was available to come in and help the team last night if necessary. But he wouldn't say what he could have helped with. Rocco was very vague about it which made zero sense.

    I was referring to starting Martin from first base when he got picked off in the 8th.

    3 horrendous losses in a row. Whoever decided it was a good idea to start Martin, whether it was the bench or Martin himself, should be sent to Alcatraz for the night.

    Got some very generous strike calls in that inning, especially against Rooker. But, at the same time, when there's 2 strikes, you gotta swing at anything close. Or is that not analytically allowed?

    I know they're probably accidents but Larnach's ability to go the other way is pretty helpful against that shift.

    #1 Funderburk wasn't a good idea to bring back. #2 Soderstrom has loved playing the Twins this season.

    I wonder how many old-school managers (Weaver, Martin, Herzog) would complain to the umpires about how Paddack puts his glove over his face when in the stretch. They could make the case that he's spitting into the glove and then it's getting on the ball. Petty, I know, but that's the way those guys operated.

    Zero problem with the tag because then he's on 3rd where a productive out gets him home. Took a perfect throw and Siri delivered. Tip the hat to the defense on that one. It's not always a fault but some here think the other team isn't allowed to make plays.

    Games like today and last night illustrate just how bad the bottom side of the bullpen is. Surely there have to be better options across the river.

    Heck no, he's from the same analytical factory as Rocco. He took out Snell in an elimination World Series game after he got scared because of that whole '3rd time through the lineup' BS when the top 4 in the Dodgers lineup that night were 0-8 against him.
