    A rare game when I can watch it on the big screen since ESPN+ put it on their platform (yes, I know you can cast from a laptop but I'm not that bright for that). Also, our 1B umpire friend from last night is behind the plate tonight.

    Grapes. They might be the easiest non-filling item. But for the record, I find eating contests pretty gross and will immediately change the channel if I see video of any pop up on the screen.

    Exactly. Plus, a lot of guys might speak English but not at a comfortable enough level to express themselves in a widely-broadcast interview like that one on the field. Asian golfers are a similar lot where they know what is being asked but they sound more honorable by answering in their native tongue rather than stumbling through halting English.

    He warmed up in Seattle on either Saturday or Sunday but didn't get in.

    I really like this stairway to heaven of Alcala in the 7th, Jax in the 8th, and Duran in the 9th. If Stewart can get healthy and back after the ASG, this bullpen is going to have a plethora of good options late. I hope Staumont isn't going stale down there (not saying at all he needed to be in tonite)

    Some pretty pathetic at-bats with them loaded. Guy can't find the zone and Jeffers is swinging at that crap on 1-0? Blech.

    He did but he shouldn't have had to. I don't know how an umpire makes a judgment that his right step was a feint toward 2nd base. In my experiences, a runner knows if he makes a jab toward 2nd and he'll get back quick if there's any question.

    Be nice if the veteran player would protect his teammate when he's trying to steal instead of giving the catcher a clear shot.
