  1. Good stuff. I was there for work but got a couple of days on the front end and went on a boat ride around Kenai Fjords State Park in Seward and then drove up to Denali for a day, albeit a cloudy one. It was late July so it was still twilight at 12:30am which was great because trying to find my hotel in Talkeetna would have been a real chore in pitch black. It's definitely worth the trip there and I've had loved to see the Midnight Sun Game but it was the wrong month.
  2. 16 days? Wow. I got a week in Anchorage a couple of summers ago and loved it.
  3. In a season. Zach McKinstry last year and Tony Phillips 1992. But one of Phillips's spots was DH so strictly from a defensive standpoint, it's just Willi and McK.
  4. According to an Audra Martin tweet, he's the 3rd in MLB history to play 20 games at 5 different spots.
  5. It's also managerial malpractice to not walk Raleigh and set up the DP with Garver coming up. You got away with it in the 9th but not so much in the 10th. And this is the biggest issue I have with Rocco is his in-game management when things get tight. He blew it with the 10th inning in not having Buxton as a part of it (I'd have had him run for Miranda so you have the opportunity to tag on a fly to LF like what Kepler hit) and certainly by not pinch-hitting for Vasquez.
  6. Sands again? O/U 8 1/2 pitches before this game ends.
  7. Managing malpractice to not PH Vazquez there.
  8. Fortunate there...and on a curveball too. Now let's get Crawford.
  9. Why oh why do they insist on Duran throwing a curveball.
  10. That's out of the baseline simply on the fact that he ran into the grass to screen Miranda on the play. He could have easily gone behind him and been fine with no worries of interference. 3B umpire blew that one.
  11. We have to plunk Julio now, right? Is that how it works? 😁
  12. Keeping that 10 pitch per inning quota going.
  13. I'd love to interview some of these crew chiefs and ask them what's it like to have to announce to the world that the call you made was overturned.
  14. I knew you'd take it that way. 🙄
  15. We've got grievances with Arizona now.
  16. When you hang out on the inner edge of the plate, bad things are going to happen. The race for velo has eroded the command of said pitches and a lot of these young guys can't handle the inside edge of the plate like their predecessors could.
  17. Who cares. This ain't the old school anymore. All it's gonna do is get a Twins pitcher suspended because unlike the Dbacks incompetent pitchers, the Twins pitcher would be aiming at the batter. I don't think Correa is gonna cold shoulder the bullpen for not hitting someone.
  18. For those of you pining for Brooks Lee, this may be your chance.
  19. And what's retaliation going to do?
