  1. Wow - What a heads up play by Vargas, and what an embarrassment for the Brewers hitter. He should be pulled
  2. TWINS WIN!!! I am ALL IN on the new extra inning rule. Gives the game intensity and excitement throughout. What a GEM from Maeda, was about 2 feet from potentially making history. Rogers is discouraging, but I have confidence he will bounce back at some point. Thielbar and Alcala both pitched very well, and the offense got the job done eventually. A very exciting game capped off with a Twins win! Until tomorrow, Go Twins!!!
  3. ALCALA!!! Seeing some cojones on him right now!
  4. Twins with their first ever 2 batter inning
  5. Polanco's defense has become SO good this year
  6. Agree, but Marwin also has to come off the bag and get that throw
  7. Marwin isn't wrong, but you can't get tossed there. Also, if you're Rocco, you can't NOT get tossed there.
  8. Great work by Thielbar....now 1 run off Hader please
  9. This is not setting up well....Brewers get to hit Thielbar while we get to hit Hader
  10. Probably time to move Rogers down in the pecking order and give Romo/May/Duffey some chances to close games while Rogers finds his groove in the 7th/8th inning.
  11. Maeda threw 8+ scoreless, one hit ball, and will not get a win. Ridiculous.
  12. Why in the world is Thielbar in this game?? Edit: My phone told me it was Thielbar...
  13. 8 no hit innings...112 pitches. I'd be shocked to see him go out there for the 9th.
  14. I know what you're saying, but 85 is the most he has thrown prior to this and it's a 1-0 game. If the score is 5+ to 0 you surely send him out, but that isn't the case here. I do think you probably see Maeda out to start the inning, but one Duffey/May/Romo will be ready as soon as we see a baserunner
  15. I'd be surprised to see Maeda back out there for the 8th
  16. I doubt it. Rocco doesn't strike me as a guy that believes in unwritten rules, and even if he did, that wasn't breaking one.
  17. No. This is what the problem with the classic baseball thinking is. The Twins closest person to the 3rd baseline was Maeda, and then someone playing at the classic shortstop positioning. The game is 1-0. The Brewers need baserunners. If Sogard gets on via a bunt single, good for him. Way different story if Twins are up 8-0 right now.
  18. Maeda giving up a groundout...what a scrub
