  1. That makes me feel better about Eddie Rosario (although to be honest, I'm never too concerned about a pro athlete smoking a little pot)
  2. Really cool...Killer was always my hero, and a very nice man. One of those snots (Cameron) ended up in prison, of course.
  3. Gotta love the glove flip by KC to get the first out!
  4. you've lived in some awesome baseball neighborhoods, gibby...Smalley and the Cretin baseball coach!
  5. I'm not a doctor, but it appears to be bilateral brain weakness.
  6. Yes! And now our number 3 hitter comes up!!!!
  7. Could Gardy raise his challenge percentage to 16% here?
  8. He is a good guy. And being a sartorial challenged guy myself, Roy has perhaps the greatest hair of all time!
  9. Sure...pick on the guy cruising with a shutout...
  10. His wife could be a little high maintenance though. Years ago I was at a party and was chatting with 4-5 guys including Smalley. His wife was in a group of women next to us, and she was complaining about Roy being on the road all the time. Roy excused himself and turned to the group of women and said (in his best Chico Escuala voice): "Christine, need I remind you...baseball been beddy beddy good...to you"
  11. Yeah, he's still a little slow getting rid of the ball. I'm seeing some improvement from Joe at first though. Now, as for his hitting approach...
  12. Tanaka's splitter is nasty...almost unfair
  13. It's a tough position to put us fans in, brock, because we want to cheer for everyone...just so tough to do when Kevin keeps struggling and there are alternatives in upstate NY.
  14. Ooh, ooh. ooh...I know this one (hand waving wildly in the air)!
  15. I guess I'm cheering for either a surprisingly good outing for Correia, or complete flop to force Gardy to make a move. Big 3-6-1!
  16. HUGE K!!!! Now how about a 6-4-3?
  17. Maybe...May is lined up on the same schedule in Rochester. But Kris Johnson is pitching better than May, and also would be available for the next start. Might be nice to get a lefty in the rotation.
  18. Great hitting approach by our DH. Look at the first pitch fastball strike so you can eventually strike out on the unhittable splitter. Fortunately Willy picks J(O and 1) up...attakid!
  19. I heard that, and liked it. What they didn't report was whether he was letting juicy fast balls sail by in batting practice too.
  20. I think tonight was a good example of my frustration with Joe. 5 at bats, and only once did he swing at the first fastball strike he saw. And not coincidentally, that was when he got his one hit. In his 4th at bat, he took a fastball outside for ball one, but then PULLED the next fastball sharply into right for his one hit. In another at bat he got behind in the count because he took a nice breaking ball, so I don't fault him for that...that's just good pitching. But he took grooved fastballs (I believe, at least...don't remember one at bat too clearly) for strike one in his other 3 at bats, and ended up eventually making an out on a pitcher's pitch. To Joe's credit, he's such a good hitter that he actually hit the ball fairly well on two of his outs, but they weren't hits. In my make believe world, Molitor sits down with him after the game and analyzes his five at bats with him.
  21. No, I meant... Yeah, you're right.
  22. Easy...every three miles or 3000 months, whichever comes first.
  23. Yeah, nobody I like beating better than the Yankees...especially there.
  24. You know, Gardy is smarter sometimes than I give him credit for. I wanted to rip him for wasting Perk in a non-save situation, but he's looking ahead to tomorrow's Tanaka/Correia matchup, and realizing he ain't gonna need Perk tomorrow. Giving Perk a little work tonight is the right move.
