    Ah, I'm still proud of "My Feet Hurt." It was inspired by the song Tai Kwan Leap. Alas, i haven't been able to find a publisher for this new baseball novel. I think i'll have to rework somewhat if it is to be appreciated by the general public...

    Yup. That one. Someplace down town (SF Opera House?) was performing it, and folk could watch a simultaneous telecast on the big screen in center field for free. Can't say i'm particularly well versed in opera*, though when they got to that song, it did sound familiar. So i guess tragedy in AT&T (i want to say ATAT) field isn't foreign to my experience... *-unless you count Gilbert and Sullivan...

    I've actually been there once (i've been to 5 major league ball parks) while visiting friends. We watched Rigaletto.

    I finally remembered enough to track it down... "not" sounds like "what" if you don't pay to close attention. Otherwise, i guess it doesn't sound so close. But here it is: ... I am yours, you are mine, you are what you are ... Judy blue eyes, Crosby Stills Nash and Young (and thanks to google search...) If only i knew my music better, i'd have figured it out quicker.

    When i read it, i was tryin' to come up with ways that it would lower: sacrifices, or ways to reach base sans PA (hit by pitch, or interference) and then get erased by double play, picked off, or caught stealing. But yeah, in context i think it was just to get a reasonable lower bound. Otherwise, i went lookin' back at Carlos Silva's 2005 9 walk season, but there wasn't more than a 4 game gap between walks there that i saw...
