  1. So Odorizzi is pretty good then. But he only pitched 1 inning, probably 'cause he walked two batters. The back to back doubles came off of Andriese. And... Darnell got himself a pick off! Seems like Molitor's attention to details there might be paying off. Or just the runners aren't up to speed yet? Things are going well for the Twins so far.
  2. Odorizzi? Jake... So speaketh mlb gameday. Is he good? I imagine this early in spring training it is heavily fastballs in general.
  3. I'm looking forward to seeing what Schafer does. Well, i guess i'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does, so that doesn't mean quite so much...
  4. Ah, call that game zero, and you'll be consistent. Just like these threads say "2 replies to this topic" and you are post number 3. (Well, now i'm replying, it'll say something different, but you get the idea, i hope)
  5. Ending on a pick off play! Wonder what that says about stopping the run game?
  6. Yup. Still here, though intermittent on taking time to read/post. First inning in which the twins did not plate a run. That's a consistency i can live with...
  7. He kept the ball in the infield for the second inning, so ya might say that's improvement.
  8. I vote for sending him back to the mound. With another 3 run lead.
  9. Did he have a chance at it? If not, i imagine it's also important to learn how to fall without getting hurt. If that's the case, i got no problem with it.
  10. That was 3 bags for Hicks? Hooray!
  11. KC in 3. Just 'cause it rhymes, which i suppose in retrospect, isn't a very sound basis for prognostication.
  12. I think this applies to me as well... I was perhaps awake for half the game, on and off. But i think i caught the meaningful parts. l certainly caught the catch, and every run what scored, and the end. Though maybe they just replay those parts so much it didn't matter... Congrats for the Royals! Thus far, i think my favorite ex-twin moment was Willingham's pinch hit against the A's. Though i do like seeing Neshek work.
  13. I'm watching. Debatable as to whether i'm all here or not...
  14. Er... Too lazy to start a new thread, especially as i reckon there isn't sufficient interest, but... Line ups for innings 19-27 of the um, first game* of the NLCS: San Louis Cardinals 1. Matt Carpenter (3b) 2. Jon Jay (CF) 3. Matt Holiday (LF) 4. Matt Adams (1B) 5. Jhonny Peralta (SS) 6. Kolton Wong (2B) 7. A.J. Pierzynski © 8. Randal Grichuk (RF) 9. John Lackey (P) Saint Francisco Giants 1. Gregor Blanco (CF) 2. Joe Panik (2B) 3. Buster Posey © 4. Pablo Sandoval (3B) 5. Hunter Pence (RF) 6. Brandon Belt (1B) 7. Travis Ishikawa (LF) 8. Brandon Crawford (SS) 9. Tim Hudson (P) which is at att park, and the weather is um, weathering. Have at it! * - so as to be consistent with the thread topic
  15. Wow! When you're right, you're right! They were even slower in the ALCS...
  16. My apologies for not noticing last night's thread until after it was over. It sure was a great game, and i'd have contributed somewhat... Neither team gave up, whatever the adversity. Hope to get a word in edgewise on this game, though i expect to be busy and/or distracted. Thanks for havin' the thread!
  17. Shoot! I finally got around to listenin', and i got the words wrong! Incidentally, according to wikipedia, Eastburn is the author's middle name. The song was written by Joseph... Winner!
  18. Others wiser than i have spoken, so i guess so. I prefer to offer you accidental reverse blame, which amounts to the same thing, last i checked.
  19. Yeah, i too was refraining, as i didn't want to spoil their spoils... "Ha Ha Ha, He He He..."
  20. Wonderful viewin'. Thanks CRArko! Insightful too. Rubber band's restorative force changes is temperature dependent. All the twins need to do is get hot, and the rubber band will pummel them upward... But my favorite quote: "The world is a dynamic mess of jiggling things." I think it's about time for baseball...
  21. I stopped reading here. I didn't want ya to ruin what happens in the rest of the game... Another schrodinger's cat sort of thing: if i don't read the spoiler, how do i know if it is a jinx or not? Though regarding 10k, do you get credit for these thoughts considering your often editing an existing post, rather than creating a new one? Anyway, hooray for a twins game!
  22. Kudos to Torii on a good throw there.
  23. That's how you tell the world has gone round: noon sense.
