  1. Double? No Prob. Just typical Perkins drama. Wouldn't have it any other way!
  2. Molitor foresaw extra innings, else he'd have pinchrun for Sano. Shut 'em down (or up. Both are good) Jepsen!
  3. What kind of fans should we squabble like... Wait, no. I get it. No squabbling at all. Ya know, why didn't i think of that myself! Shut 'em down this here half inning!
  4. It's been bothering me the whole game and i finally figured out why it sounded so familiar! CMOT Dibbler... Bringing back to the beginning with the hotdog vender! Now i can give my full attention to the game again...
  5. Alas, a pop up unsets it up... But that's okay. The DP is now equivalent.
  6. I have not yet lost the faith. But alas, technically it is tied, so right now, we're not winning...
  7. I think so. Maybe even an actual happening game thread. One can hope. And the game itself ain't bad neither... (Didn't like seein' Mitchell go...)
  8. Did he get the warning point, then?
  9. Dozier continues the fine tradition of bouncing the ball off a fielder (without injuring 'em) We could get the lead back...
  10. I should have been clearer... My bad. More generally, has anyone used a mop for curling? Or is it against the rules or something. Or would dragging a bucket and a squeezer on the ice be disadvantageous? (i can see i haven't thought out the implications of such a strategy at all, and perhaps i should do so before i post it... nah, this way's more fun.)
  11. Thou shalt not advance on Rosario. Even if you're a Yankee like Ellsbury...
  12. Plouffe applyin' the pressure with the base runnin'. Nicely done.
  13. I hope he's okay... Golly. Now i feel bad for my casual comments about bouncing hits off fielders and/or their gloves...
  14. Should have gotten involved in a land war in Asia...
  15. When you got the trophy(s?), what put ya over the top? Or would that be revealing a trade secret? (Ya shouldn't have to... you can say "I did X" without explaining how...)
  16. Grumble... 3-0 and still in the bottom of the first. Come on bats, you got Gibson's back, right?
  17. Please elaborate. What are these contests? I am ignorant and pursue enlightenment...
  18. If they could just fit a restaurant in, people might go to it? Kinda like, if you build it, they will come... I wonder if hotdog stands count? A favorite joke o' my sister's: The Buddhist* walks up to the hotdog vendor and says "make me one with everything." The corollary being he pays for it with a $20 and in response to further inquiries, the vendor responds "change comes from within." *-ignoring the fact that i believe they are vegan, no? But humor also comes from absurdity, or so i'm lead to believe...
  19. I can see the appeal of beatin' 'em in their own house at their own game. Personally, i'll be happy with winning three one run nail biters that the Yankees of New York can do nothing about, while we remain as pleasant and courteous as can be. "Bravisimo! Encore!" But a no hitter, or a softball mercy rule style victory by the Twins as a statement certainly wouldn't be amiss... Anyway, what happens happens, and i suppose the Yankees might have something to say on the matter. It'll be an evening's entertainment, at last. I'm just glad i renewed my license a few months ago, before i got the temptation to show up in a bathing suit with a beach towel and a supersoaker. That could be taken the wrong way.
  20. Do Yankees have them? I'd rather tip their cows, if we must abuse livestock, but i'm not sure they got them either, what with bein' a metropolis and all. Okay, i'll settle for taunting the contents of their bullpen. hey pitcher pitcher pitcher! My gramma can throw harder than that!
  21. Wonderful metaphor... Alas so many of those things probably need to be backwards compatible to products predating version control... And if only everything were open source, you wouldn't have to be dealing with tech support (not that it would be any easier, considering documentation) Anyway ye olde game is over and we can count i among the forks!
