    That's what i figured. Though i imagine an orchestra could settle on a particular lay out by default as the most common... And yeah, i was assuming from an audience view point, as a reasonable default. It's been a long time since i was involved with a Minnesota orchestra, and i think it was junior high school...

    Them, i might enjoy at close range. Not that they wouldn't be loud, but you can never go wrong with an upright bass.
