  1. Buxton at the bat with 2 runners on, down by... 7.
  2. 11-4. But we got an outfield assist at second.
  3. And if i am not always alertly following the now 9-4 game with runners at the corners with 1 out in the bottom of the 6th, it is because i just got a sequel to The Skinner, a scifi book by Neal Asher i recently finished. Er... 10-4 on a squeeze. They didn't get the runner at home...
  4. No prob. Just glad i got it close enough to right you aren't correcting some minor detail...
  5. They still might. After all, they avoided arbitration last off season(s). Negotiations are complex. I bet agents are like wizards, in that they are subtle and quick to anger.
  6. The premise of this game thread is Danchat is running a simulated game with statistical similarities to the real world, but based otherwise on chance. And he reports what happens each inning concurrently. That way we get a choice of which game to follow.
  7. 8-1... Momma said there would be days like this...
  8. Not even simulated KC? 7-1 as Dozier (no not that one) clears the fence.
  9. Star of 2001? "Daisy daisy, give me your answer, do..."
  10. In KC (where everything is up to date) they got a 4-0 lead after 3. Projects to a 12-0 game.
  11. Hey, don't knock it. Happ has done alright for 'em, winning more than he has lost... And they are a wild card team, i believe, getting hot as it matters most, last i checked.
  12. What is the significance of red and green? And i assume AA is considered faster than A, but this came from base stealing stats, and so the fact Buxton rarely steals third dings his rating?
  13. I knew it was in the 40s and led the league last i checked. Evidently the haven't *all* been hit against the Twins...
  14. It's actually spelled gull-libel, stemming from published exaggerations of how seagulls will follow you anywhere expecting to be fed.
  15. He speaks with his actions, and alas, i am bad at listening.
  16. Right. Gameday says he hit a second solo homerun.
  17. That's a good sound right? (i personally don't think it changes the asking price, whatever it may be, it just increases the likelihood it gets met.
  18. Concur! "Say Buddy, when is a sidewalk fully dressed?" (How long ya figure it will take Chief to figure that one out?)
  19. The Future is Now. (started yesterday's intro off with a Coen Bro's movie quote regarding the past, figured today would be the future) And strangely i want more from the movie, but this as good as i got... So what are y'all looking forward to in the Twins world? We got a collective bargaining agreement coming up (eventually) We got a playoffs with no team from Minnesota involved, though perhaps a former Twin or two. We go Mr. Ryan on the mound for tonight. That's pretty exciting. And we got some good players in our minors, not to mention the rest of the current roster. Does Buxton sign long term? Does he get injured? I look forward to finding out. In the meantime... Tigers: 0. Tarik Skubal (L) P 1. Akil Baddoo (L) CF 2. Robbie Grossman (S) RF 3. Isaac Paredes (R) 3B 4. Jonathan Schoop (R) 1B 5. Jeimer Candelario (S) DH 6.
