Very few sporting events are more beautiful than the start of a cross country meet, particularly a big meet on a scenic fall morning with the leaves turning. Haven’t been to a meet in 10 years or more, but it’s a sight that will never leave my mind’s eye.

To clarify, if Buxton indeed gets hurt in game #1, they do have the ability to replace him (with commissioner approval, I believe). Doing so would mean that he would have to be inactive for the next series as well. (And this isn't advocating for including Buxton, just clarifying a rule.)

I'm pretty sure it was Wainwright who asked about the vest. I'll give him more of a pass than I would have Amin or AJ. I thought Wainwright added more beneficial pitcher's perspective than I usually get in a broadcast (other than Steve Stone, whose been at it a long time). -

If Correa's food includes Lucky Charms, it's magically delicious! And it seems like those Lucky Charms (and probably the tear) have indeed improved the plantar fasciitis.

Lopez threw three pitches with two runners on base: Strike 1 (foul). Strike 2 (called). Strike 3 (swinging). And then Mr. McCormick returned to the dugout. (Those were also the only three pitches he threw with a runner on third.)
