    I think Buxton is gonna end up being one of those guys that people look back on the 2012 draft and say "How did HOU pass on him". It will haunt HOU for years. He is developing so quick, hes a true 5 tool player. Every scout around the country is drooling over him, everywhere I look they are writing articles comparing him to ARod, Trout, McCutchen....

    Good article. I dont think any of the Twins catchers in their system are the long term answers. It all depends on how long Mauer will be behind the plate. I really dont thing Mcguire would be a smart pick either, hes great defensivley but doesnt have a good bat. I would much rather have an average defensive catcher that produces offensivley. Best case scenario would be Mauer stays behind the plate throughout his contract, but thats not likely. Idk what they are gonna do...

    Ha wow, I thought you were saying you were slow because you drank so much alcohol. lol, oh well its good to hear you arent an addict. Its literaly the worst thing on this planet, wouldnt wish it on anyone.

    Did you hear what that guy said? He thought HOU and Appel had an arangement where they would pass on him and take him next year. Thats crazy!

    Exactly, I think he would of signed no matter what but he was playing the "Im going to play Football" angle to get some leverage in the negotiations. All this did was give him less leverage. Maybe the school was mad because they knew he wasnt gonna attend so they got back at him by announcing this several days before the draft?

    Are you still fighting the everyday battle? I struggled with addicton aswell, ive been sober for 10 months now and feel great. Alcohol wasnt my DOC but I met a ton of alcoholics in detox's and treatments and saw how difficult it is to get off that stuff. I know it seems like theres no way out but trust me man you will get through this. Sorry to Ramble on but I feel for addicts still struggling.

    Heres whats up with Adderal. Its an Amphetamine which means its a stimulant. It would help to know how much he was taking because theres a big difference if he was taking a little compared to alot. If you take a small dose(Which is what students usulay do) you dont really notice anything, you just stay awake longer. If you take a large dose you get alot of energy, become very focused and you get Euphoria. When you take a large dose you feel like you could do anything, you just feel so good and energized. Its like you want to work because you have so much energy and euphoria. Thats why taking a large dose really does give a player an edge. If hes taking high doses I wouldnt take this guy. Like I said with a high dose you get an amazing edge. Maybe thats why he was so good this year compared to last year? Btw im a recovering addict that has done every drug out there. A high dose of amphetamines is one of the best highs, you feel like superman.

    Yea that comment puzzled me aswell... On a different note its awesome to have such an elite prospect, let alone 2 of them. Twins have had a long drought of top of the line prospects so it only makes sense that we get a few of them at once. Sano, Buxton, Meyer, Rassario, Gibson, Arcia and Berrios all have alot of potential.

    I agree If they passed on Gray I would absolutely freak out. Assuming Stewart is gone too I like Shipley and Ball to but less Shipley. Hes could be a longer wait than Stewart even, he just recently became a pitcher and I heard he could take up to 5 years to develop.

    I love listening to this podcast every week, you both know what your talking about and are good at talking. I know they are almost 2 hours long but I wouldnt mind if they were a little longer.

    First off John I love listening to your and Gleemans podcast, look forward to it every week. I didnt really like this new podcast, you were good as always but the other 2 just didnt seem like they were good talkers. And that wierd Conspiracy theory was insane, how can somebody think that? I mean nodody could plan out something that eloborate in the mlb and expect it all to fall into place. Maybe the other 2 were new to podcasts and were nervous? I will listent to any new ones you make and keep an open mind.

    Gray testing positive for Adderal could hurt the Twins. If Gray falls down draft boards including the Twins that could mean that one of the top 3 teams that would of picked Gray could move him down and instead take Stewart, and if the Twins dont like Gray anymore either it may mean that they would just take Mcguire because Bryant, Appel and Stewart are all gone.

    Both could be good things for the Twins. Now they may be able to sign Stewart with more ease, or they will be able to get Gray because this news could cause him to fade down a couple spots. But I dont think many people will care about Gray testing positive for Adderal, I mean hes in college and playing baseball which has to be draining.
