I looked at how good Florimon has been at shortstop and discovered that he's been the best in the AL thus far. You can read the rest of Minnesota Twins: Pedro Florimon is the AL's Best Defensive Shortstop at Yahoo! Sports. Is this surprising? Does he have a shot at the Twins' first Gold Glove for a SS since 1965?

Ha, ha. I had the exact same thought last night. Sano vs. Cespedes next year would be awesome. Assuming he's still with the Twins, Willingham will probably be in it next year and will probably be the AL captain, unless Morneau is still around for some reason. If both are gone, would they ask Mauer again?

I looked at why extending Morneau's contract would be a mistake after Darren Wolfson quoted a source that the Twins would talk to Morneau about this. You can read the rest of Minnesota Twins Should Not Extend Justin Morneau's Contract at Yahoo! Sports. Should the Twins extend Morneau or should they just trade him for whatever they can get?

Worley had a career ERA+ of 113 with the Phillies and a career xFIP of around 3.70 before the surgery. Diamond was near the top of the AL in walk rate and ground ball rate, and since he is left-handed, he profiles perfectly as a pitcher that can do very well with a low K rate.

Minnesota Twins Win Despite Reliever Mix-up
SoCalTwinsfan replied to SoCalTwinsfan's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
Yeah, especially with Burton unable to pitch in the game. Perkins used to be a starter. Plenty of other relievers go 1 1/3 or 1 2/3 innings, why not Perkins? Even if he needs an extra day off, Burton has shown that he's a very capable closer.- 6 replies

In Tuesday's game, Gardy asked for Duensing and Fien came out. I looked at the mess in the eighth inning. The worst part was Gardy actually handed Fien the ball before sending him back to the bullpen. You can read all of Minnesota Twins Win Despite Reliever Mix-up at Yahoo! Sports. Should Gardy have let Fien pitch anyways? Was it OK for the umps to let Duensing come in?
