  1. I looked at the players the Twins drafted and how quickly each could be up with the Twins You can read the rest of Minnesota Twins MLB Draft: Stewart is Great Talent, but Eades Could Be Faster Impact at Yahoo! Sports. Is Eades too risky of a pick with his shoulder surgery, or did the Twins luck out with him falling too them?
  2. Most mock drafts I've seen have the Twins picking prep pitcher Kohl Stewart. I wrote about the draft and how unusual it would be for the Twins to take a high school pitcher. You can read the rest of Minnesota Twins Have Opportunity to Load Up in MLB Draft at Yahoo! Sports. What do you think? Should the Twins go a safer route with their first pick? Should they load up on as many power arms as possible? Should they draft Appel if he falls that far and risk overpaying or not signing him at all?
  3. I looked at the five best players picked at No. 4 in the MLB Draft: You can read the entire list at Yahoo! Sports. The list includes two Hall of Famers, two that make a decent case for being in the Hall of Fame, and a current player that might eventually get into the Hall of Fame.
  4. I looked at the worst first-round picks in the Twins' history. You can read the rest of it at Yahoo! Sports. I mainly focused on players that never made the majors. Are there some that were higher picks that made it but were disappointing that should have ranked higher?
  5. I looked at how the top picks in last year's draft have done. You can read the rest of it at Yahoo! Sports. I'd like to read your thoughts. After Buxton and Berrios, is it too soon to make any positive predictions? Did the Twins take too many college relievers?
  6. Couldn't it also be the approach by the batters? With a RISP, I would think a batter might be more willing to look to hit up the middle or away. In my gaming experience, when I play one with a choice between a power swing and a normal swing, I choose normal when leading off an inning and with RISP.
  7. I looked at the Twins' surge in home runs in recent games. Read the rest of it at Yahoo! Sports. What do you think? Is this a trend or just a SSS fluke?
  8. A little surprised that Rogers is ranked ahead of Baxendale given that Baxendale was drafted ahead of Rogers and is a level ahead of him in the minors. Plus, Baxendale has had terrific numbers. Also, seems like a high number of the top prospects weren't even in the system a year ago.
  9. Over at Yahoo! Sports, I discuss Gardy's recent lineup change: Go ahead and read the rest of Minnesota Twins' Ron Gardenhire Needs a Refresher Course in Lineup Construction. Do you agree that Gardy has lost his sense of logic? Does it really matter?
  10. The way Dozier was playing, he had days or weeks to do something to stay in the majors. The Twins are saying he figured out something in his swing and then he had three hits, so we'll see. Dozier should be better than this based on his minor league numbers, but the Twins can't wait forever for him to show it.
  11. Yeah, that took me by surprise when I looked up his stats to get more info on him and see if he might be an option for the Twins.
  12. On Yahoo! Sports, I published an article on how the Twins' young players led the way in the win over the Brewers last night. Read the rest of it at: Minnesota Twins' Win Gives Hope for Future. I would like to hear from the Twins Daily Community about their thoughts on Hicks, Dozier and Pressly. Was this a turning point for them or just one good game among many bad ones?
  13. A .325 OBP would be a huge boost to the Twins' offense since their leadoff hitters have a .240 OBP.
  14. Over at Yahoo! Sports, I published an article that looked at a player that has been under the radar: Read the whole article on Minnesota Twins Should Promote Little-Known Antoan Richardson. I'm really interested in what the Twins Daily Community thinks. Is he too old? Is there something in his numbers that shows he probably won't succeed in the majors?
  15. Suddenly, Arcia's aggressive approach isn't such a great thing.
  16. Over at Yahoo! Sports, I published an article that looked at how much bad luck the Twins had in Thursday's game. Read the whole story on how Bad Luck Follows Minnesota Twins to Detroit. I'm really interested in what the Twins Daily community things about my analysis and maybe we can come up with some ways for the Twins to change their luck around.
