  1. Ah, an RB thread. All is right with the baseball world again.
  2. Hopefully, the BASB Road Twins play tonight. (Before All Star Break)

  4. You would not be alone in your confusion.
  5. Another math thread? Congratulations to Mrs. Brian, I might add. I say that, because in my own marriage, my wife deserves a lot of credit for putting up with me these years we've been together.
  6. I believe the number of times the Twins have been slaughtered far outweigh the number of times they've pounded the opponent. Either that, or the Houston pounding really skewed my memory.
  7. I believe run differential is also skewed, greatly, by the number of games the Twins have absolutely been slaughtered in. When a team loses several games by 7 or more runs, it doesn't take long for the run differential to get ugly, yet be somewhat meaningless when it comes to how the team is actually doing.
  8. To your point: in 2013 Nick Punto batted .333 in the post season for the Dodgers. Jeff Weaver pitched extremely well for the Cardinals during their post season run to a World Series win in 2006. Both are answers to trivia questions when it comes to MLB.

  10. True story: I was flying into MN from DFW, one Christmas break, and the pilot announced the temperature at MSP, which was 10 degrees. An audible gasp went through the entire airplane. It was hilarious. I also had the people next to me ask what the little circles of lights were on the ground. I explained those were outdoor hockey rinks. One could see people moving around on the ice by then. I'm pretty sure the guys next to me were convinced Minnesotans are crazy at that point.
  11. Molitor: Hit the Towels, team! A rare win against the Evil Empire deserves Prime Rib..rare!
  12. These are not the Yankees of the past. They just don't have that Yankees swagger. It's kind of weird.
  13. I already made the comparison. You're late. Though, I wasn't quite as pithy.
  14. Commonly known as the "Dick and Bert method of broadcasting."
  15. The reason I move Polance before I move Escobar or Adrianza is that Polanco is supposed to be able to hit which, in theory, makes up for his defensive shortcomings. When things started this year, Polanco was making the plays he was supposed to make and doing a decent job of hitting. Now, Polanco is doing neither. I get that players go through slumps but Escobar just seems like a very steady player. Not flashy, but will consistently make the plays. Adrianza looks like a defensive wizard who may be able to hit a bit more than people thought. I think that makes Polanco the odd man out. Granted, small sample size, Polanco versus Adrianza.
  16. I believe I've seen, tonight, Adrianza make two plays that I'm not sure Polanco would have made. If Adrianza's bat is for real then Polanco is trade bait.
  17. I was not impressed with Granite's throw to second when the runner advanced. Granite appears to have the same arm as Ben Revere.
  18. Not that you're judging or anything.
  19. Hopefully, the Twins will only pitch to Judge when they have to. There are times I honestly have to wonder what Molitor and Co. are thinking when they pitch to someone rather than pitch around someone.
