I see the Canadians have finally caught up with 80's fashions. Pretty soon, they may even discover the 486 computer.

Hockey in a baseball thread.. What's next, curling?

Ah, Norm brings back memories: I was at one of the last North Star games. We all had a great time chanting "Norm Sucks." Good times.

I saw a blurb about Ryan giving an interview after a game, after pitching 9 innings, I believe, while on an exercise bike. The writer was a bit surprised, to say the least.

I think the question of who may bat behind Sano will be solved pretty soon. Yes, Mauer has elite defense at 1st but Vargas and Park are both very capable at First Base. I think Mauer either turns into a doubles machine with RISP or the FO starts looking in another direction. I love it when Mauer plays first because I don't worry about balls getting by him. But, at the plate balls seem to get by him a lot. By the way, I just took a look at Joe's WAR and he is just under 2 for the last three years. Which puts him somewhere between solid started and role player, according to FanGraphs.

Beautiful pooch. The aurora borealis is cool too.

Yeah, Phil is relying heavily on Buxton and company. Of course, it also shows just how important the outfield is.

    Coeur d'Alene Idaho? Prescott, AZ?

Kintzler "ground ball pitcher" strikes out the last batter. Not flashy but keeps on getting the job done. By the way, that low outside corner fastball Kintzler throws is outstanding.

A 4 and 1 road trip. Who is this team and what have they done with the Twins?* *I tried to have the Twins play 9 games in a 6 game road trip. Sheesh.
  18. Blake
    Okay, that's cool.
  19. Blake
    Nope, sounds worse.
  20. Blake
Agree. I was surprised they kept pitching to Sano.

And he'll probably only get better. Next franchise player?

Hughes gives it back, the Royals give it right back. It's almost like the Twins and Royals have switched places. Especially that cool "hey I got it, no I don't got it, you got it" play by KC. Right out of Twins 2016.
  23. Blake
That's not a day for some players, that's a career!
  24. Blake
And Sano delivers again. Boring. not.
  25. Blake
Cool got the yard work done and tuned in just in time to watch the Twins fill the bases.
