  1. What would be more painful... Listless loss or a comeback bid falling short?
  2. Depressing day so far..too little too late or so we have more miracles in the offing ??
  3. What's with first innings runs..3 consecutive games when we need to keep up pace and win
  4. Very disappointing.. White Sox had lost.. This was our chance
  5. Let's put extra innings skills to the test.. Hopefully
  6. Weston wilson has been a blessing for us in past two days
  7. Agreed. I don't expect them to trade for high end arm and they shouldn't. But every time I hear trade for some arm that was not in the trade chatter across MLB rumors I think of Mahle and his 5 starts. I hope my pessimistic mind is proved horribly wrong
  8. Better get value for larnach while he still has it...he hasn't looked as sharp as early in the season
  9. True but I still have sinking feeling that he is still going to hit few against us this series...avgs and ERAs dont seem to matter when in comes to our traditional tormenters
  10. Seems like a good pickup and hope no injury surprises for next two months. Wonder if anybody would take our current bullpen arms as throw-ins in future trades 😏
  11. Surely watching the condensed game on MLB when it becomes available and forward to b9 inning. Closed my screen when Clemens got to 2 strikes while I was following game online and just elated
  12. Agreed. Feel for royals but glad to be on the other side. These sort of endings always seem to go against us most of the times (esp. in Cleveland). Kody has come up with some big hits against LHP in the last month ... What an underrated transaction from the last year... woo hoo
  13. OMG, thats too good to be true. 2 unbelievable walk offs in one series... Wow
  14. Consider putting Alex Jackson in CF may be... Just kidding ! On a serious note, this one seems like ability to play around multiple positions (questionably with defensive metrics) seems to get valued more that any other criterion unless there is some trade deadline context to this move that's happening in the background
  15. Yes. Glad to eke out a win. 5DPs (sheesh), and two of them started by first baseman :O. The PH and injury replacements had meant that we couldn't PR for Caratini in the 9th, but glad that it didn't really matter with the walk-off triple. Let's see what the trade deadline unfolds. As much as Jeffers is good, I would hate to see FO waste a prime opportunity to cash in on his value and then let him walk for free. Also, if Buxton stays out, I hope we have a regular center fielder.
  16. Agreed. My point about spending money was solely about testing TP's commitment to improve the team (which was the article focus) if the opportunity presents, like scenario no. 1. In other scenarios, that aspect wouldn't really get tested and anyway would fall more on the FO to make smart decisions and play the market well.
  17. My wish: To really test TPs words into action, any deal which is adding $ on the books is the true litmus test. I like no. 1 in that sense. Let's see if they can make it happen. Also, the way our roster is constructed and exclusively discussed in other articles, shipping away active players instead of all prospects makes a lot of sense. Fingers crossed for a productive exchange. Hoping to not get injury-ridden players or mediocre players who have an obscure good performance against the Twins being part of the deals. What I think could happen: Jeffers trade + random minor deals like 2023 or 2024 deadline
  18. LHP with ERA north of 5, tailor made situation for 10+ Ks and limping offense if Twins stay true to their colors. I seriously hope today is an exception
