I commented yesterday, I don't think the Twins have a plan with anything. They wait until someone gets hurt or the fan base puts enough pressure on them to make a move.
Fedde throws his sinker the second most of all his pitches. He has a -6 Run Value, .340 BA, and .547 SLG when throwing it. Come on, Twins, feast on those sinkers.
Eric Fedde has pitched well against the Twins so far in his career. 2-0 with 25 strikeouts in 4 appearances. 1.17 ERA.
Hope the Twins can jump on him early and go home with the sweep!!!!
SWR was on pace for one of the worst seasons ever as a SP. He was last or close to last in many pitching categories. I agree Prielipp needs to be better but SIM was complete garbage.
For not being a big stikeout pitcher Banda has been on a nice stretch. Hasn't given up a ER since May 8th. 10 scoreless appearances in a row. Needed help tonight though.
So a few things to consider when Sands comes back. Who do you send down Adams, Lawrence, Paredes? Your likely gonna need Paredes for a spot start or bullpen game with Adams.
Exactly so what's the plan. They had Santana on a short deal and now they have Bell on a short deal. Clemens and Caratini aren't your regular first basement. I'm just saying there's no long term direction there.
First base is also said to be the least scouted and fastest position to learn so I don't know.
It's interesting that the Twins have no interest in bringing Sabato up now or in the near future. I mean the Twins have used five different players at first and the Saints have used at least five different players there as well. There's no direction for first base right now.
