    I think he must be. I mean he waves at everything, fastballs, curveballs, change up, balls above his head, balls in the dirt..etc.
     
    Once a promising power hitter, the Twins of course tried to change him..NEWSFLASH..to Twins Hitting Coach..
     
    LEAVE HIM ALONE....he is a power hitter plain and simple. Im real tired of the Arcia Experiment, please bring somebody else up..at lease the next guy would wave with enthusiasm!

    Bill would make a move...trading for Delmon was good on paper, that is until Bartlett was included...but I digress...
     
    Yeah..i know he traded Hardy who was hurt all year and hit 220 when he could play..Nshiokia was a Japanaese MVP...how could we have known?
     
    But what I liked about ole Bill..he would make a deal...Terry Ryan is like watching paint dry..if he dont screw ya..mean you havent traded with him...
     
    Here we are again...please..paint..crack somewhere!

    We did love you Joe...and now we can see why the Twins insisted on you catching. Frankly a non-power hitting first baseman at .270 just doesnt rock our world.
     
    And now once the hottest commodity in baseball. we couldnt trade you if we wanted to. So do we just keep you on th the bench and eat one of the richest contracts in baseball? uh..yeah...We dont have a choice, now do we?

    You can see it in their faces, when the Twins get behind..they quit...
     
    and I believe the reason is that ....The coaches are constantly harrasing them..
     
    By the time a player reaches the major leagues they have had a ton of coaching, when they come up..let them be who they are and see if its good enough.
     
    Did the coaches ruin Aaron Hicks? Maybe..it sure looks like they "coached" him out of the major leagues.
     
    Too many of our players tear up AAA then flounder at Big League..level...
     
    LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!
     
    Are you constantly amazed that other teams...have very good young talent..and the twins dont seem too..

    Clearly Joe Mauer is not worth his contract as a non-catcher. I am sure when he signed that humongous contract,the Twins signed him as a catcher.
     
    I have clamored for years for Joe to play another position, i was wrong.
     
    He is worth way less as a position player.
     
    Now the question, is the contract valid when he refused to play the position he was signed for? If not, I am way willing to see Joe finish his playing days elsewhere.

    If Sam Deduno was given half the chance, that Kyle Gibson has, he would be substantially better. Gibson once again lays an egg....two more of these and something will have to be done with him.
     
    Yes at times Gibson has been brilliant....but he can not continue to lay eggs like he did last night...the rest of the season depends on how Gibson pitches, is he hurt?

    With his second straight sterling performance yesterday, Samuel, proved he is a valuable resource. Interestingly, Deduno before Slama....hmmm
     
    With all the criticism of Deduno, do you really want him to fail?
     
    I am delighted that Twins have found a way to use him and this might be his optimum role.
     
    His stuff is just so good, remember this, when he is on, he can beat anybody,
     
    We need a few more of those, do we not?

    1. Starting pitching MUCH better...(keep Correa)
     
    Our starting pitching has been much better, we have an ace now..Gibson is pretty much online..but do expect more short outings..but also long outings..he is getting better...Twins will move Nolasco..to pen..drop Swarzak and bring up May. Pino will be decent for remainder of year, Our Starting rotation will be Ok the rest of the way.
     
    2. Collabello - has matured from his exit, look for him to perform above average the rest of the year. Mauer is hitting..he will be better...Escobar is just plain good..we knew he wasnt a 300 hitter but with rest will still hit, Parmalee is finally hitting...Arcia..Im very dubious about and want SOMEBODY who can hit, Ortiz?
     
    3. NUNEZ - might be the most valuable player on the team, the thing is, this guy can HIT...Play him until he doesnt but until then..keep him in the lineup!
     
    4. My favorite player (except Deduno) Santana will return soon and here we go with a good leadoff man..
     
    If you check out on the Twins now, you will regret it..EVERYTHING is looking up!

    We see it over and over, a player gets hot, he hits everything, then he slumps a little and it just continues.
     
    Heres what you do, Arcia being the prime target for this, sit him down, two-three games, never let him get into a prolonged slump and let him go for 5+ games whiffing at everything.
     
    Parmalee when he first came back did the same thing..then the slump..not three hits yesterday, in Arcia and Parmalee we have the ideal duo to do this.
     
    Joe needs to sit as well..so Parms can go there when Arcia has been rested.
     
    Hitting takes a ton of concentration and you have to let people rest mentally..
     
    Im amazed that Escobar continues to play and hit well...but he could use a rest too...same now with Willingham
     
    Try it we will like it!

    Think about it, we are loaded at AAA with Pitching..
     
    What do we need? We can get it for one of our great young pitchers, but what would you want?
     
    A cf? A ss? a catcher? Hmm..looks like we are pretty stocked..I guess I would take a Power Hitting First Baseman...thoughts?

    I have constantly championed Samuel Deduno. Despite his success there are always the detractors, who listen to media instead of making valid observations, maybe they dont watch twins games.
     
    Yesterday was very different Deduno Speak, Dick and Bert were efffusive in their praise for him, hmmmmm..something came down from on high this was in sharp contrast to earlier comments..the players and Andy all gave him huge praise and Andy was right on about him pitching..to be effective and and as good as he was yesterday (do you know how close he was to a no hitter?) he has to be unchained,,do his thing and when he does..he is great..to quote Dozier..almost unhittable...
     
    So lets put the Deduno control is bad, erratic to rest..realize he is DIFFERENT..like a fastballing knuckleballer and in that difference we have a a special pitcher who I still maintain will be no worse than the 2nd best Twins Starter at the end of the year..Hats off to Gardy who played this one right!

    I know i expect too much of him, but its his fault...if he didn't make sparkling play after sparkling play, I wouldn't be surprised that nukes hit his way got by him..but he has been human a little lately. Problem: You cant afford to rest him, he is the twins best player right beside Suzuki and Escobar...

    Do I understand this correctly? Eddie Rosario a top prospect for the MN Twins, smoked pot KNOWING..he could be tested for illegal substances?
     
    I wont engage in the merits or dangers of smoking MJ. However if you have the world in front of you and YOU HAVE TO SMOKE WEED...isn't is just a matter of time before your character catches up with you? I have to believe it is....
     
    I think this shows long term weakness and once he comes back if he puts up great numbers..I urge the Twins to trade him, he is a ticking time bomb.
     
    And now we learn Rosario has two little kids and a wife to take care of...cut him mn now..this guy is reckless and not worth the distress!!

    Wow Gardy is no longer in love with the Mendoza line! Love todays lineup, Gardy is desperately trying to get some hitting in the lineup..absolutely love Santana being in, love Parmalee call up...love ANYBODY is spelling Kubel for a bit..(he will rebound)
     
    One thing concerning..is Pinto finally starting to hit again..but sitting..but Suzuki is Superman!..I know the cape will tear eventually..but loving seeing him fly!
