I hope I can quit saying this soon, but once again Sam Deduno proves not only that he belongs but he can be dominant.

He is the best starter on the Twins staff (ok I know thats not saying much)

When i hear the self aggrandizing pundits proclaim, that we are desperate, to have to use the likes of Deduno and Walters...I almost puke and this shows
    their complete lack of knowledge.

Walters maybe, but Deduno can be great if the Twins just let him.

Nobody is more interested in Oswaldo than me, but the Pitchers in the Big leagues, have discovered his weakness and are exploiting it....

Send him down, take the pressure off of him.....he will be back up and better for it..

Only thing, do we have anybody to replace him?

Question: Why does the DR pitch Deduno in the Championship game?

Answer: Simple, they want to win! (what a concept!)

Deduno would be no worse than the Twins 2nd best Pitcher and very possibly could be the best, what do the Twins have to lose? Their repuation for smart?

Think of Deduno as a knucleballer and that might help you to deal with his erratic pitching..but remember this, he can beat anybody anytime, can you really say that about Correia and company?

If the Twins send Hicks to Rochester this will send a very poor message to their fans. Mainly, Team politics are more important than winning.

The base is excitied about Hicks. After today, its hard to imagine the Twins without him. Keeping him on the big team would send very positive messages about the organization and their will to win, not always salvage the dollar. It would also be a big signal to their young players, prove you are good enough and we wont worry about the money

Im predicting before the year is over...Jose is going back to Rochester. Here is what he has to do to stay up.

Berrios has good stuff, but he is scouted to death at the major league level...Good stuff alone is not enough.

Berrios has to learn how to deceive hitters, mixing pitches, changing speeds, otherwise he is going to remain
    batting practice.

Remember how exultant he was after dominating Baltimore? A quote from him was something like, I was able to do it throwing my pitches, hopefully he has learned now that there is more to pitching than just throwing....the good news is if he learns to pitch, he could be very good but at this point his head is the problem, hopefully he will be able to work it out.

Wow...we can not afford to keep trotting Perkins out to close...Move Jepsen there now. I do believe this is mental on Perkins part, slide him back until he is the old Perkins, but to have any chance of a post season spot we have to change.

The other major thing we need to do is bring Buxton up now, his feet are elite and will win us three games...might not be enough but when you are this close you need to go for it...bring him up immediately.

There are a million Shane Robinsons, so Buxton can slide right into his place.

Thank You Tori, but now you have to yield some time...for the hope of attaining post season

I am deeply impressed with Miguel Sano. Yes I saw the game. Yes I saw him strikeout, but I also saw his eye, his swing his confidence. I did not see the deer in the headlights like Buxton showed.

Sano believes he can play in this league and hit these pitchers, and you know what, he can!

It might take a little but look for him to start hitting.....and this will help the Twins mightily.

He is this years Santana, that could be Rosario as well.

Any way, I picked Vargas as over rated and Pelfrey to have his best year ever waaayyyy before it became obvious.

One other note: How good was Kyle Giblson tonight? Phenomenal was he not?

Sano...will be a star in the Twin Cities, you'll be able to look it up!

When you look into the eyes of Aaron Hicks you see a different man, a different player than he has been in the past.

His approach and confidence look to me to be stellar. If he can have a little sucess, it might just be the charm as in third time.

In my mind he won the first game against the Rays when he singled sharply to get on....then scored on Santana's triple.

He has so impressed me and I was ready to give up on him.

He might re-define how we think of Byron Buxton and he at present is at least allowing the twins to nurture Buxton.

Assuming we get the Morales...we have seen, this lineup just became very formidable. One question is, when will Pinto play?

With Suzuki slowing down, I guess Pinto will catch a little more..but wow...tell me who has a better lineup than us, with Morales in the middle!

Also have you noticed Santana looking much better in CF? Im excited about the Minnesota Twins..(Does the State pay Gladden to say that all the time?) MINNESOTA...most of us know where the Twins hail from, but Gladden has to quailify it..repeatedly...

Pitch batting practice to him at only one pitch..fastball below his knees...he would have to prove he could hit that and WOULD hit that..before he plays again..how many? 100 a day or more..even if he has to have his own batting practice...I just cant believe with two strikes he can not tell that this pitch might be called a strike...also I would prep him that when he has two strikes SWING at the next pitch...not to say other twins arent guilty too..Colabello for one has struck out on multiple fbs down the middle..taking sometimes too..

Ok Bruno..you have the task..get to it!

When I watch twins relievers, Tonkin is by far the weakest. He supposedly can throw in the high 90's so why is he trying to get people out with off speed stuff?

BC..his heater with little movement is getting smashed!

His wind up is so open, he doesn't fool anybody, the pitch comes out..and the hitters see it..clearly and teach him a lesson. His stuff..(fastball) allowed him to get by in lower minors..but Michael guess what? You aren't in Kansas anymore dude..just because you can throw hard.means little to major league hitters...

Send him down, until he learns to fool hitters...

I was so hoping the Twins would pick him up. I was thrilled in hearing the news of his acquisition, He will be an upgrade to Aaron Hicks in every way. Fuld can immediately bat lead off and we wont have to see the huge Hicks look terrified to play. Hicks might have the physical tools.but I dont think he has the mental tools..there is no pressure on him, that is until now.

Gardy please start Fuld on Tuesday, bat him lead off..and let him play himself out of position. Its ok with me to send Hicks down, let him prove he can hit Triple A pitching which he never has.

First what is good about the Twins?
1 Middle infield Florimon and Dozier....No change needed, Florimon needs to hit more but if he doesnt his defense warrants his inclusion

2 3b- Plouffe didnt have great numbers but I think his hitting is passable...we dont have to make a change here...I would like to see Mauer trained to play 3rd...also Mauer in outfield....would be great, can he play center? I wouldnt bet against him..he certainly can be a lead off hitter

3- C -Pinto says it all, but can he last, can he keep it up? He will slump for sure, but seems like the long term solution...

4 Of - Arcia is obvious but does not appear to have stamina at this point...

but the OF is major weakness...Might consider a free agent here....

The way to rebuild the Twins is to sign TWO of the best Starting Pitchers after the Top Tier Signs....

Next Years Rotation....Pelfrey, Free Agent, Deduno, Free Agent, Correia

That would be a good rotation and give us a chance to compete, while our minor leaguers mature...
