    This seems like a familiar pattern for young pitchers Early success followed by some struggles once “the book” is open and hitters have enough data to know what’s coming. If he is tipping pitchers or has become predictable I believe Andrew Morris will make the adjustments he needs and we will see some long term success. But I expect the adjustments to take time as he analyzes what is leading to the recent struggles. It could just be a run of bad luck. TBD Bumps in the road for young pitchers are to be expected.

    Ok - I’ll concede starting pitching has been inconsistent but it never ceases to amaze me the thoughts of constant tinkering. Clubhouse continuity is important and this group has shown they support each other and play hard. Philly series was bad but Atlanta sweep suggests to me these guys are all scrambling to make a run. I see Joe Ryan back Sept 1 with roster expansion and possibly swapping out Nance for Rojas as viable options but this group has been throwing well. This road trip could set the tone for a nice run at the wildcard and who knows, over taking Chicago for the division lead is still within reach.

    Check my math but I calculate he is owed $500k for the remainder of 2026 season? Maybe teams take a pass and Twins can keep him stashed in AAA for the rest of 2026 and he would be a good off season signing as a #2 catcher for 2027. He and Caratini made a good duo in Jeffers absence.

    The talent is there when it comes to SWR as a big league pitcher. I doubt we will ever know the real reason for the DFA but given the sudden decision I lean toward a mutual parting of the ways. Twins will be fine. TBD for SWR.

    When will we see change? Seems to be no repercussions for lack of performance, same guys same lack of execution. Will this be the game that forces front office to make some changes?
