Yeah there were some potential hitters who could have helped, I'm hopeful that tre lack of traded means that internal help is imminent. I'm also aware that imminent help could take the form of Matt Wallner.
He's always a bit wild so that's a valid concern. A better AB from Josh Bell in the ninth and we might have had more leash to play with (can't really fault the effort given to mount the comeback in the first place.)
If you're that worried about your infield knowing where the play should be, that does say a bit about the personnel and/ or the positioning of them.
Fedko got hurt at the end of yesterday's game, not sure the severity but that means 1) Roden Remains, likely Martin a bit less secure 2) Gray is replaced by Wallner or Jenkins if Larnach goes.
Tait, Tinney, Diaw, Vahn. Heck maybe Olivar gets better this off-season. It's a position of strength in a deadline where teams need catching. Hate to see Jeffers go though.. none of those guys will help a team in 2026.
