I agree that may be the likely outcome. I picked Miami as they have a closed roof and would definitely be preferable to Tampa, Houston, or Texas, all are surprisingly on the road.
I’ve actually been surprised that a rumor hasn’t come up to play the KC/ATL series in Miami (Marlins finish in Toronto). I would think it would be incredibly hard on the Braves to potentially have to play 2 doubleheaders in 3 days as I don’t see a way that they play on Friday night.
And right there is a reflection on the manager and staff. It is YOUR job to get these guys ready to play and to help them through the jitters of a pennant chase. KC has a young manager, but have essentially managers on the field with Perez and Tommy Pham. Detroit has AJ Hinch. That quote should have never left the clubhouse.
It would be poetic that the night we are eliminated from the playoffs that Margot comes off the bench for a PH appearance. I know Rocco will die on that hill with his spreadsheets held high.
Claiming they won’t fire Rocco because the Pohlads don’t want to pay 2 managers. They just need to shed payroll a little further in order to afford it.
