  1. Perhaps but on a team that has zero personality and rarely shows any type of emotion or flare, it isn't something that bothers me.
  2. Hopefully everything is okay with Buxton. Some things are bigger than baseball.
  3. Wacha, like Ober, has been shaky to start the season. The Royals, like the Twins, have been sputtering at the plate. Today might come down to which team doesn't beat itself. Hoping last night was a springboard and the Twins come out of K.C. with a split and some momentum for a tough home stand.
  4. Joe was an ace tonight. Hopefully the start of a winning streak.
  5. Add Julien to the list of hitters on this team that are totally lost.
  6. And I thought Popkins was the problem!
  7. Good idea giving Buxton the night off. Amazing to me how still has the same approach at the plate as he did his rookie season. Guy is completely lost right now.
  8. He found an extra gear on Monday night after his first time through the line-up. Pitched pretty well and hopefully he builds on that.
  9. I wouldn't say SWR has been 'bad'. The Twins won his first start of the season and he pitched pretty well against the Royals on Monday - his defense sh!t the bed.
  10. Firing Rocco doesn't necessarily things will get better...but I think we're at the point in his tenure where we know how this season is going to end.
  11. Thanks. Figured an MRI would be needed. Hopefully he doesn't miss extended time but if its a hammy, that can be tricky.
  12. The next game is always potentially the start of a winning streak. I'll continue to hold out hope that they can fix some things and make a little run. Not impressed with Cleveland or really Kansas City - as bad as the Twins' offense looks, the Royals don't look any better. Detroit's the class of the division right now but they too are flawed. If the Twins didn't insist on shooting themselves in the foot, they're probably 6-5 right now. But alas, will they ever stop beating themselves?
  13. RE Rocco... 2019 was a lot of fun. Yankees obliterated the Twins in October but really will that ever change? 2020 was a weird season for every team - can't put much stock into it. 2021, a dud. 2022 started off well and then completely fizzled out. Injuries played a part. 2023 was a lot of fun but the Twins were also the beneficiaries of a really bad division. 2024 featured an epic collapse. Nothing on his resume justifies Rocco keeping his job. 6 years for a manager is a relatively long time and the Twins need a new voice. It may not change the end result but we already know what the result is with Rocco's teams.
  14. Three straight losses and they could and should have been wins.
