  1. Issues with getting chanels at work is what prompted me to get Sirius XM. Now I just listen on my phone via data or wifi, just had too many isues getting a reception in our building.
  2. 1 inning down for Worley, gave up a double but no runs.
  3. 5 J's to start of the lineup? Seems like bad luck to me.
  4. I think Carroll's role will largely be defined by how Florimon and Dozier perform this spring. I think if they show they can be semi-competent Carroll will be a off-the-bench utility guy. The problem is that I think sometimes Gardy likes to give players too much of a leash.
  5. If by "Pop" they mean some old guy , then Gardy is likely to get what he wants.
  6. Correia is on MLB Radio right no on SiriusXM.
  7. I think the Twins are going to need a big year from Gibson this year to be competitive. Granted, he'll be on an innings count but they will need those innings to be good.
  8. While watching the Twins thing on Kare 11 the other night it makes it sound like they're very high on Correia. Terry Ryan gave him a huge endorsement saying, "He can pitch a little".
  9. No worries Seth, I'm not saying I could do better but like you said no system is perfect and you could very well be right and I'm undersetimating some guys. I sure as heck hope yours are right because it's going to be a massacist's paradise around here if mine are right...
  10. I like the Morneau stat line, would love it if that happens. Lets cross fingers and hope it happens because that would be huge for the Twins to be watchable this year.
  11. I agree, but do think that it is possible to plausible (It could happen) and reasonable (not without reason) but some of these are unlikely at the same time.
  12. I have to say I think you're a bit overly positive on several players. I appreciate the positivity though.
  13. Would serve them right by stuffing money in their pockets and putting out a poor quality product. As loyal as Twins fans are eventually they will stop paying to see this team.
  14. I think they are almost for sure going to be over 65 wins so it's probably a good bet. probably in the low to mid 70's I'd think.
  15. Saunders is probably a good comparison but given that Diamond is younger there could be more upside. I think Diamond is already better than Saunders was at the same point in their careers so I think there is potential for him to be the better pitcher when comparing careers. If Diamond can repeat close to what he did last year he'll be a 3.7-4.00 ERA player over his career.
  16. I think he's probably going to be a little over 4 ERA for the year and somewhere around that for his career. I think that would make him a very nice #2 guy in the rotation but they'll still be missing a staff ace. So i'd say he'll be a 4.20 ERA type of pitcher from year to year, +/- about 0.25. So he's probably a #2-#3 type of pitcher I think, talent wise. If you can get guys like that out the Rule 5 draft you're pretty happy with it.
  17. Yes, generally he's willing to lay blame where it belongs but like you said it seems like Blackburn was an exception.
  18. I don't think so. The guys you propose will be out there really are not that great in field either so it's some huge upgrade. Granted Willingham and Parmelee are not great OF but it's not like we'd be replacing them with a GG caliber OF. Certainly Benson, Hicks and Mastroianni are faster and might have better skill but what you give up at the plate isn't worth the extra defense.
  19. I highly doubt that. If you have Willingham or Parmelee added to the DH mix then you hvae difficulty getting Mauer time at DH and you'd have to sit Doumit more. They're best served as a team if they can have all 4 of these guys in the lineup as much as possible.
  20. Pretty much seems like most of these spots are penciled in for the most part. I think the one thing to watch is Hicks/Benson. I think they want to take it easy with Hicks and not toss him in there if he's off to a slow start.
  21. I think last year was his ceiling and that unless he has lights-out control all season this year like he did last year he's going to come back to the pack some. Not many pitchers in the history of MLB have been able to do what Diamond did last year for their entire career so I suspect that we'll find out this year if it was a one year semi-fluke or if he's just that good.
  22. I like what they've done for the future but hate what they did to this year. I think if they even took a shot at one of the big name FAs this year I'd probably be OK with most of the rest of the offseason. You can't make people come here but you can offer them good contracts, at least then you're trying and if they choose elsewhere then it's not because you were not seriously in the running moneywise. I wouldn't blame someone for not signing with the Twins if they want to win now, but if it's because they didn't try then that's annoying.
  23. Nope, no idea at all what you mean.
  24. I'm all for kicking tires so if it doesn't cost you much why not?
