  1. Rocco is still young and will have future options. He is being paid in 2026. It would seem wise for him to sit back and watch his kids grow while he plants a strategic plan of a return to baseball.
  2. Fully agree to keep Maki as he knows the pitchers....if he wants to stay. It is not his fault the bullpen was traded away mid-season. Watkins should depart. .he made bad choices coaching 3rd. RAMIREZ adds a Spanish speaker to the mix. Shelton should select his own bench coach that he can lean on and will probably not be Tingler. It would help if it was a Spanish speaker.
  3. Tear down. ..more like total demolition.. I hope the 2025 season tickets holders just save their money for something more productive. I have attended games every year since the mid 80's and will be hard pressed to spend money on this team in 2026 if they continue to dump players. BOYCOTT!!!!!!...and I hope Buxton leaves if the owners keep the current mindset. He should not waste his talents here.
  4. I guess that I could just bitch about Shelton, but he has more past experience at managing and coaching than any past Pohlad hire. I wish him God's speed and hope he does well. I just hope they do not dump their top 2 pitchers to save money. Fan enthusiasm and being a cheap owner just doesn't mix well. Also...love your tag...sweet music Viola...aahh memories..
  5. Coaching/mentoring the young players that the Twins have on the roster can make a difference. There are many players who are in this category of being decent.....but need strong influence. The big challenge is team direction...and you are correct....Falvey and the Pohlads just don't seem to possess it.
  6. The Revenant.. are you saying that TC bear will maul him?...Derek, get that bear spray ready
  7. Well...how about the two Jims (Kaat and Perry ;)
  8. Interesting.... the 2026 Twins will now be paying their prior manager and his former bench coach turned manager
  9. The Pohlads first time hiring a person who previously managed at the MLB level. Regardless...not an inspirational hire in my view. I spoke with a Pirates fan. He told me that Shelton was a person who did what the FO told him to do. With the exception of their great pitcher, the team had similarities to the Twins. Shelton will not excite the Twins fan base nor ticket sales....but fingers crossed that they will at least do better than the White Sox.... Miranda??? He probably won't even be on the St. PAUL ROSTER. ..next year
  10. The recent star Tribune article evaluating and providing the 2025 the player stats. was superb. MT. Everest needs to be scaled and superb coaching along with some needed FO/owner spending is a must. The pitching staff ERAs are pretty scary except for a couple. Hitters like Wallner need coaching. Fingers crossed...bit tough for a die hard Twins fan not to shake his head..
  11. Don't know...seems as if he may be stealing thoughts from the 3 awesome podcasters
  12. Sorry...no disrespect...but I can think of many besides the bullpen...including a couple of starters especially if they dump Ryan and Lopez...also need to firm up the question marks...alas...there is no wallet to fund solid players....to me...yes they can field a team. ..but I don't see much hope more than some potential good individual performances next year.
  13. Plural....there are Missing pieces....many of them
  14. Rule 5 in 2026.. .."The Castoffs"
  15. ..very true. .and Madden would desire more influence than Falvey would permit.
  16. Twins Skor North noted Joe Madden as a good choice. Falvey would not want an experienced manager. The Pohlads have always hired MLB managers (5 of them in about about 40 years) who never had previous experience in that role. It seems a bit strange...to me.
  17. Maybe changing the mascot would help. I vote for the UC Santa Cruz mascot, the Banana Slug....or maybe use a sloth.
  18. Interesting that Correa suddenly bumped up his BA a bit after his departure. I hate to compliment the FO, but it was a good salary dump. He is past his prime and not worth the money.
  19. SUPPORT...OK....CLOSER.????...SANDMAN..........CATCHING ZZZZZ
  20. Not sure....but I do believe that there is too much hype on Wallner. If he doesn't fix his hitting challenges, he may not make it through next season. Home runs are great but not when your BA hovers just above 200.
  21. LEYLAND will be 81 next year. I just commented on Maddon....if you want old school experience...well, Bob Lillis managed the Cardinals in the 1970's...he is 95 and might be interested ;)
