  1. If you can't even throw strikes, why do you intentionally walk so many hitters? Looking for trouble?
  2. 1 inning 50 pitches thrown between 2 pitchers and 5 runs allowed, how could you win with performance like that? Something needs to be done. Both Reed and Duke look lost. I think all three (Reed, Duke and Pressly) need to be on DL. (dead arm syndrome)
  3. Morrison? It's a mistake. Belisle? They signed him because they were drunk. Wilson and Motter? They need veteran players and those two happen to be available and able to field those positions. I am sure they are looking for someone better offensively now.
  4. Come on worst to first? Who was the manager when the team was the worst? Not Molitor? First??? Are you sure? Barely made the one game playoff and lost? That's what you meant FIRST? Please make sense.
  5. Belisle is what a losing team really needs. Typical mop up pitcher!
  6. He hasn't been the same since he was hit by Porcello. It's so important to protect your players.
  7. Don't have to mention Astudillo here. He hasn't had an AB in the major league yet.
  8. Molitor says Berrios was just a little off today. That has been the Twins attitude all season. It explains why this team has been losing this year.
  9. Well Molly might be long gone before the pick gets promoted to the major league. He can certainly do that every night in his dream though.
  10. Dozier couldn't even touch fastball right down the middle, struck out swinging. I think he should be seriously thinking retirement now. Grossman swung on ball way low and stuck out looking at a hittable pitch. He has already lost his most useful skill. Kepler also struck out looking at a hittable pitch. Both Grossman and Kepler have been very passive. None of them possess Mauer's hitting ability and keen eyes. They really should be swinging with 3 run down. At least you have tried, therefore no regrets if you fail. I really don't want to see Dozier and Grossman back next season.
  11. You are not going to sign him at 3/21M, I believe 3/30M-36M would be more reasonable based on his production on and off the field. This season seems to be a lost season due to lacking of offense. Pitching has been decent. To me, the problem of this team is NOT ENOUGH EDS on the team. So please trade anyone else and leave my ed alone and extend him as much as they can.
  12. I understand your point and I agree. I value clutchness over so called 'leadership'. That's the main reason why I would like to see Escobar back with the team. Trading him for a prospect who may never reach the major league just does not make much sense. Trading him can only make it harder to bring him back.
  13. Eds are not the problem. Letting Ed walk can only make the matter worse. The problem is not enough Eds on the team.
  14. I think Rupp would be gone soon and Astudillo would be promoted to the major soon to take Wilson's spot. Sawyer is also hitting well and could be promoted.
  15. Escobar is a veteran. They certainly like veterans. He is no Belisle though. Not even close. Do the best to extend him, extend him for what he deserves (3/36M), if he still wants to test the market, trade him for the best return possible. Stewart is way too inconsistent. His ceiling might be a long reliever in the major.
  16. 3/36M sounds reasonable.
  17. Sorry I meant winning. winning = money
  18. How much of the 'future' can this trade bring in for the Twins? Is it worth losing heart and soul of the team? That's the question.
  19. Let me bet, if Escobar gets traded and comes back to the Twins next season, I will leave the country.
  20. NY Yankees always win, pretty much every season. Not every players want to play for NY though. Sometimes feeling is also important. Money is not everything.
  21. Don't trade him if they could not get back a major league ready prospect similar to Mejia because it's not worth it. Most of the prospects do not make it to the major league.
  22. Extend him as much as they can, show him the appreciation, tell him he is as important as Buxton or Sano to this team. If he still wants to leave, then let him go. At least they made all the efforts, therefore no regrets. That also shows other players how much this team values good work on and off the field.
  23. Yeah try that, I am not sure if he's going to pick up the call though.
  24. You can pretty much forget about signing him if you trade him.
  25. Vargas can't be worse than that I believe. He must be bored playing in AAA all season.
