  1. They need to liven it up somehow. Watching chess would be more exciting
  2. The prep bat, Keoni Cavale. Not sure if it's spelled right
  3. It's nice to be in the position to be able to take the best player available. I like the Baylor catcher, but also there are some pretty good 3rd basemen. I'm going with Keoni Cavaco. Much like Lewis, he's not the consensus pick.
  4. To me it says they are in the belief that their core is strong enough to just add pieces. I'm not sure I agree with that. It's a book or bust scenario for me.
  5. I remember him. Had a nice fastball, but not much for off speed
  6. I like it. Time to see what he's got and if he can help next year
  7. I think they were mentioned. I read that they are worried about adding salary and it's luxury tax ramifications
  8. Sano is always gonna strike out. It's who he is as a player. But that doesn't mean he can't be a productive player. Jim Thome struck out over 2500 times. Not saying Sano will ever approach Thome's career but the point is, big power sometimes leads to big strikeouts
  9. No one is celebrating, it's more accepting fate. And going about getting better for the future.
  10. I'm willing to give the Front office some leeway. They were absolutely right about Melatokis. I'm even willing to forgive the Morrison signing. Low risk high reward signing, IMO. And I don't think anyone forsaw Lynn struggling like he has. I think we are seeing just how barren our farm system is on the higher levels this year. Romero has shown flashes, Gonslaves as well. But particularly we haven't had position player help other than Cave. Is there help on the horizon, yes. Also no one saw Sano, Buxton and Kepler struggling like they have. Be thankful for Rosario, Berrios, Escobar and even Gibson.
  11. Gotta say, not a huge Grossman fan. Wouldn't be surprised to see him or Vargas traded shortly.
  12. Well, it could mean several things. Maybe it's added depth in advance of a trade. All I know I'm ok with adding a slugger in what should be the prime years of his career
  13. Disappointing, yet not unexpected. So I'm assuming we get a call because of our pool money.
  14. It would take Gordon plus a good pitcher I would think.
  15. The fact they are targeting relievers in trade may mean they like starters better in free agency.
  16. No way do I send anything to help the Yankees unless top pitching prospects are involved.
