  1. OK, that sliding catch in foul ground at Fenway by Mientkiewicz in the just shown montage was cut off, but he ended the play by throwing the runner out at home trying to tag up. The play was cut off by Hocking (again in foul ground). This was a much more impressive play than the Jeter flip but no one ever mentions that play.
  2. I do not want McKay or Wright, which is why I am fully expecting one of them. Makes too much sense to go with the guy with the best upside.
  3. Twins now have two pitchers that have thrown no hitters, plus Matt Belisle. Winning.
  4. Please, I do not want to get banned!
  5. The criminal part of this is that Terry traded three starting CF in a two year span and got out of it one borderline acceptable season from Trevor May and a bunch of trash.

  7. Thank you for doing this. Why is MLB's definition of "ordinary effort" completely void of common sense? Why is it not considered ordinary to field a ball hit two steps to your left and then make a proper throw? Why is it an automatic single plus error when a throw from an infielder goes into the stands even though it is obvious that the runner would have been out by ten feet if an ordinary throw was made. Why does MLB clearly favor the offensive side of the game when assessing errors? Why have official scorers at all if MLB can and will override a "suspect" decision? Thank you in advance!
  8. There is just no legitimate way any team can contend with one and a half pitchers. Each year I think this is the worst bullpen ever assembled and each year I get a new barometer for awfulness.
  9. HOW IS THAT A HIT?!!! IT WAS HIT RIGHT TO HIM!!!!
  10. My favorite quote of the game so far (I believe an unintentional diss by Dick): "The Astros and Twins both feel like they have upgraded the catching position."
  11. In case you were wondering, the definition of "ordinary effort" has now been updated to: "See base hit".
  12. This actually annoys me even more. His coming out of the game basically cost us the game (in addition to the bullpen) as there were two plays that could/should have been made after he came out.
  13. It may be a little early since we've only seen LaTroy for one series but we've seen everyone else for multiple series. Who do you like? Not like?
  14. It had better be something infinitely better than Jepsen if they are going to make a trade.
  15. Very fitting that they finally end the madness on a ball that hits the base runner.
  16. The bullpen is like the Jason Voorhees of baseball. No matter how fast you try and run away they will still kill you.
  17. My lovely favorite baseball team ruined my appetite from start to finish in that top of the 8th.
  18. Completely agree with D. As for E, the Twins bullpen likes doing thing in Elevens.
  19. Shoot, there's been at least three colossal meltdowns by this bullpen this year.
  20. You want us to field a one man pitching staff?
  21. At least we have Vargas available to pinch hit.
  22. If I'm Erv I just punch every single person in this organization.
  23. Gattis vs Breslow seems like a negative.
  24. I remember when the Twins had the luxury of "stashing" Pressly in the minors.
