  1. I'm certainly no expert, but he looked okay. Fastball (looked straight) 91-95 and a medium to big slow breaker (controlled it well) 75-79. I don't believe he got any Ks but the home fans thought he was getting squeezed, shocking I'm sure .
  2. Curtis is pitching on ESPN2 right now.
  3. I was hoping they'd take him in the 2nd after watching him last weekend. His slider looked nasty.
  4. I don't want to take this off track, but man I miss sitting on the lake at dusk and listening to Herb Carneal call a game, and Ray Christensen calling Gopher sports as well while I'm at it. I even miss little moments of down time where you were allowed to hear the buzz of the crowd in the background.
  5. You guys follow this stuff a lot closer than I do, but if one of the goals is to add LHPs and they have a chance to add someone on the level of Rodon, they wouldn't pass on him would they? oops, Looks like I hit the wrong button again. I was replying to InfraRen's Gammons quote from a GM.
  6. Last year I was hoping the Twins would have a chance to draft Turner this year. I would still love to end up with him, can't help it.
  7. It's your life, live it beautifully Cola Bello
  8. Pretty sure Sano and Buxton will be in the futures game this year but will anyone else from the Twins? Meyer and Rosario possibly?
  9. Halstead with IU also. They were saying on the broadcast today that Slegers, Demuth and Halstead are all room-mates also.
  10. If Eades is LSU's #2 and Slegers IU's #1 you should be able to see all 3 today on espn or espn2 I believe.
  11. In 3/4 years? lf/cf-Buxton, cf/lf-Hicks, rf-Arcia, of/dh-Kepler, 3b/1b-Sano, ss-?, 2b-Rosario, 1b/3b-Bryant, c-Mauer, dh/c/of-Pinto/Walker, ut-Beresford? Obviously no-one knows which of these young guys will live up to their potential (and who may take their place as prospects) but man what potential they will have. Even without a possible addition of Bryant.
  12. oops, screwed up the reply again. "I like turtles"
  13. Hopefully Sano can stick at 3rd. I love a 3rd baseman with a cannon arm and a little agility. He's definitely with the right manager imo.
  14. I've always been a fan of a healthy Harden. Bullpen or starter hopefully the Twins can get lucky this time and he holds up. Assuming he signs here of course.
  15. I'd lke to see them give Plouffe the year at third and concentrate on improving the middle infield defense. Is it possible that hey feel Plouffe is the type that needs direct competition in order to play his best or force hmself to improve?
  16. Forgot one of these:cool:
  17. So, are you saying you Fonzie my idea, or are you telling me to sit on it?
  18. How about a little Fonzie head for a like and maybe a little Ralph Malph head for a dislike? If you're neutral you could use the Big Al head.
  19. I like Lohse. Just put a steel door on Gardy's office and rest a few rubber bats against the wall outside of it. Problem solved .
  20. Glad to read this. Shane Mack is one of my all time favorite Twins.
  21. If the team picks up the Lara kid from Tampa, Cuellar would have a full year to work with him on a changeup .
  22. Roberts looks kind of like Luigi (profile wise) in the green and white uniform.
