  1. That's kind of what I'm getting at. If they're saving money, who do they spend it on? They picked so few high schoolers, what do they need it for?
  2. That looked better coming off Sano's bat than it did being caught about 50 yards shy of the track...
  3. In case you're too lazy to click twice like me, here's the deets. (From: http://twinsdaily.com/topic/33475-article-minnesota-twins-2019-mlb-draft-signing-tracker/) Round 1: Keoni Cavaco | SS/3B | Slot Value: $4,197,300 | Signed For: $4,050,000. They saved a little bit of money with it; hopefully enough to sway a high-upside guy. But with all the college players picked, who do they spend the savings on?
  4. "I'll be here [in] four years or less." Strong prediction. I hope he's right.
  5. Dude has great hair. What was his signing bonus?
  6. You're setting yourself up for something here. FYI.
  7. That IS an impressive list. I doubt the Twins will have the 2019 Golden Spikes winner available to them when they draft next, considering they'll have the last pick in the first round and all.
  8. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
  9. And for today's win, I present: chicken tinga tacos! https://pinchofyum.com/the-best-chicken-tinga-tacos I prefer to put a little spice into these, so I add a pinch of cayenne or some of the peri peri I picked up in Portugal. If you don't have cotija, you can stir some adobo into crema and use it as a sauce. (Also works well on fish tacos.) Also, chop up a lot more cilantro than the recipe calls for because cilantro is the leaf of the gods. Mix that with a bunch of onions, then top the tacos with possibly too much of the combo. And always remember, folks, wheat tortillas are an abomination. Happy eating, and happy winning.
  10. I'm rooting for whichever crazy dictator decides to lob an ICBM at that stadium. I kid. I kid. **** the Yankees.
  11. Man, Miguel Cabrera is just a hat full of *******s, isn't he?
  12. TVs are apparently all on a bit of a delay (makes sense - they can bleep or blur in a pinch). I just recently learned a sports betting term: "courtsiders." It means people who front run the public on sports bets by actually buying a ticket to the game. Now that most gambling (in Europe where it's almost always legal and normal) is done pretty instantaneously via mobile phone, those 20 seconds can give you quite an advantage.
  13. Sano's gotta stop half-swinging on that down and away ****.
  14. When we get robo umps, can they just shoot lasers out of their eyes at any player who jaws at them from the dugout? Because that would be sweet.
  15. Christin Stewart seems to be doing well for himself after the Twilight series ended.
