    I assumed trade bait but I was in a rush so I didn't mention that part sorry. I assumed parm would be good to trade when mauer moved to full time first/emergency 3rd catcher

    2014 lineup? CF- Hicks LF- Benson 1B- Mauer DH- Willingham RF- Arcia 3B- Plouffe C- Doumit SS- Dozier 2B- Rosario? Not impossible but highly unlikely. Stopgap for Rosario the following year.

    No reason to pull him in the 8th either. He isn't getting lucky. He's pitching real well and is facing the bottom half of the lineup. Hopefully we get a run or 2 for him here

    Saw on MLB.com the twins pitching rotation out of the all-star break. Liriano Duensing then either Devries or Deduno then they are debating what to do with Diamond (since they want to back off his innings). How about liriano Duensing Devries Deduno Walters Liriano then Diamond. Then Duensing can go back to the pen?

    I thought carter was pitching alright. Didn't no much about him, just watched box scores. I'm to lazy today to look up stats but I made a mental note to check up on him more.

    He's not much worse than Guerrier but a fourth the price and you people loved him.

    If Gray keeps pitching like he has the last month or so he will have a future here. He will be very cheap and the Twins like there cheap pitchers. He's not a closer or a setup guy but he does what you need to do as a middle reliever.

    Where are all the "DFA Gray" guys? They were circling every blog a couple weeks ago. Glad people are shutting up about it. He has been on when the games matter, not so much when they don't. He is 5-0! And nice to see Waldrop and Robertson hold there own against a good tigers lineup. I dread the day Capps comes back.

    The twins could trade A couple players and not be sellers and work a double buy with trading Span for a player that will help us now (starter) and could try to get back into this division. Highly highly unlikely that any possible move will get us the division but it's to early in the season not to push for it.

    There should be a roster move today sending down mastroanni or parmelee and calling up ramirez or Valencia..... Or both! Mastro is useless right now and parmelee needs the regular at bats. This way our lineup could be... Span-CF Carroll-2B Mauer-1B Willingham-LF plouffe-3B doumit-C Valencia-DH ramirez-RF dozier-SS Crazy I know but that would help a little bit against a top lefty...

    Thats kind of my logic when looking at tomorrows matchup with Sale. Everyone needs to implode from time to time. Dickeys last start. I think we will get to Sale but will Blackburn do enough to hold of the Soxs?

    Not saying its going to happen but if the twins sweep Chicago and kc this week and win each game by 1 run there percent might look the same somewhere around 1% but we could be within 3 games. This is the first I have heard of this model and I don't see it resembling anything close to real percentage or likelyhood of a teams chances of making the postseason. But oh we'll it's fun to argue about!

    So what your saying is this is all none sense because it doesn't accurately predict anything. It uses all past results as a means to predict the outcome of the future. Doesn't always work that way. I don't think this percentage thing is worth debating because he doesn't predict a valid arguement.

    Boer has been pitching better of late but just can't seem to consistently locate his pitches. Once he starts hitting the strike zone he should be right back on track.

    The twins don't have a great chance to make the playoffs. But realistically they are 7.5 back with about half the season left. They win there next 5 games and they could be within 3 games. Not likely but definitely not impossible. .09% is a bit low. More like 5%. I'm not being a homer it's just logical that you can make up 7.5 games in 90 games.

    If Liriano is more comfortable throwing to Butera than the others then whats the big deal. I rather take a dominate Liriano and butera every fifth day than one more day of Doumit.
