1. Wow, not a fan....especially because I can see the Twins try and convert him to a starter because that has turned out well.....
 2. So much talent left! This is seriously a deep draft. Hopefully some of it falls to us!
 3. I hope your dream comes true! Also interesting that Gatewood is still around.
 4. There was a rumor earlier in the year that the Twins might try and sign Harrison under slot....doubt he falls all the way to 46 but its food for thought.
 5. I'm a HUGE Adams fan but I have a hard time seeing him fall that far. I'm guessing Mac Marshall.
 6. There goes Sheffield to the Indians.
 7. From Crawford's pick-by-pick analysis: The brother of Dodgers second baseman Dee and the son of former All-Star pitcher Tom, Gordon saw his stock rise significantly through the spring. He is a shortstop who needs to gain some weight, but he can already play the big-league position, and there's sneaky power in his left-handed bat. He reminds some of Francisco Lindor, and like Lindor he could move quickly through the Twins system. Gordon might be their everyday shortstop by 2017 -- maybe earlier if he shows the same bat he did for most of the spring.
 8. 6 central. Twins should select their first pick around 6:30 and their second around 9:30. Give or take.
 9. Best curve ball in the class. Plus to plus-plus fastball. Doesn't have ideal size or a third pitch which makes teams afraid he might end up being a RPer. If you can teach him a solid third pitch and work on his control he could be a monster. High ceiling but a lot of risk.

 11. Not me. Just too much talent up top that isn't going to miss the next year due to injury. Also, I think people forgot how inconsistent Hoffman was this year before the injury.
 12.

Comment From Kyle I like Nola more than Rodon, am I nuts?

4:53

Chris Crawford: Nope, not nuts. I get it. I'll still take Rodon's chance to be special, though. Nola at his very best is a quality No. 3. Rodon could be a true ace, assuming his college coach didn't ruin him with work and the fastball command is where it was as a sophomore.

Also, Crawford has a big 4 of Aiken, Rodon, Gordon, and Kolek. No Jackson or Nola.
 13. Also, this on Thorpe:

Comment From Ian Where would Lewis Thorpe (18 year old Australian in MN system) go in this draft?

4:50

Chris Crawford: Probably not today, but probably not around for very long on Friday.

14.

Comment From Matt When all is said and done who from this draft do you think will have the highest career WAR?

4:49

Chris Crawford: WAR? Ew. Nerds.

4:50

Chris Crawford: Had to be done. I think it'll actually be Gordon, just because of the defensive value. Could be Aiken though, for certain.

15.

Comment From dose17 Is the hit tool the biggest question mark on Nick Gordon's scouting report?

4:37

Chris Crawford: I think the overall offensive upside is his biggest question. I think he's got a plus hit tool, and he has deceptive power, but industry doesn't completely agree.

16. Can you tell me about Nick Gordon's offensive potential? Draft Day Chat with Nick J. Faleris: Potential plus hit tool, maybe better depending on how you view the added strength this spring, with a chance for average power if he gets a little more loft in the barrel. Could sacrifice some average for power, or pump the hit in exchange for closer to 40/45 pop on the 20-80 scale. Solid range of outcomes and has the feel for the game and make-up to take in instruction and reach that potential.

 19. Nola is a very polarizing prospect. At the beginning of the year there were questions if he was going to be a SPer or RPer because of his size/unorthodox delivery. His college performance this year has shown that he will be a future starter but the question is how good of one. There is no question he should move quickly, experts have been wrong on this before though, but does he project to be a #2 or #3? Experts are split on his try ceiling. If you believe Nola's ceiling is a safe quick to the bigs #2 then he is deserving of the #5 pick. If you believe he is a future #3 then the argument can be made that with the #5 pick in the draft you should be aiming for someone with more ceiling. Obviously we won't know for years if Nola or any other prospect drafted in the top 5-10 were worthy of their drafted spot.
 20. Where have you read about character issues? Not only have I not seen anything that suggests he has character issues but actually the opposite. He is supposed to be a high character kid. Maybe I missed something.
 21. Crawford's last mock: http://mlbdraftinsider.com/2014/06/the-final-mock-ever/
 22. Personal top 25: 1. Aiken 2. Kolek 3. Rodon 4. Jackson 5. Gordon 6. Holmes 7. Touki 8. Newcomb 9. Nola 10. Zimmer 11. Pentecost 12. Derek Hill 13. Conforto 14. Turner 15. Beede 16. Freeland (if not for health rumors he would be a few spots higher) 17. Monte Harrison 18. Hoffman 19. Luis Ortiz 20. Gatewood 21. Sean Reid-Foley 22. Kyle Schwarber 23. Spencer Adams 24. Derek Fisher 25. Braxton Davidson
 23. Kiley McDaniel makes it sound like Kolek might drop like a rock. I haven't heard anything about Rodon. Is he asking too much?
