    Personally, I just want him to get through this year before worrying about next. Two exciting starts, but we've seen this before. Way too early to know whether we actually have something here or it's just beginner's luck/lack of familiarity. Let's see what happens when teams start facing him for the 2nd or 3rd time.

    I'm assuming you picked that date because of September callups? Rochester might not be done then - they are in a playoff spot right now.

    Since this thread started with a critique of what Gardenhire said pre-game, it seems appropriate to add his comments post-game. Fair is fair, after all. Taken from the Twins site: "I think we saw pitching the way it's supposed to be," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "He works quick, moves the ball in and out and changes speeds. That's two performances in a row just like that. So that was special for him to do that tonight in front of our crowd."

    All of which means nothing if it doesn't translate into major league success. Not the first time a high draft pick and hot prospect didn't pan out. Great college pitcher, good minor league career. Not quite good enough for the Show. Happens all the time.

    Looking at the table in the blog post, they may be last but they are just a touch behind the 72 Yankees. Being compared to the Yankees is a good thing, isn't it?
