  1. Anderson is hitting around .500 against lefties so he should maybe be pitched around. Last night would not be an ideal guide on Rogers' status.
  2. Tigers and Royals kicking bootay today. Things are are changing a bit in the AL Central. Cleveland hangs on with their good pitching. Must be a good division this year.
  3. The CA Feds refer to cohort quarantine meaning the NHL teams are separated from the public. The Buffalo situation is a big deal to a potential 2.6M market in WNY adjacent to CA and proud to host an MLB team. The Blue Jay's knew what they were doing.
  4. The Twins are ridiculous and should be banned. Robert hits first pitch 115 which only one Sox hitter did last year. Letting GG Yolmer Sanchez leave might have cost them a chance to win. Never take defense for granted. Wonder if a GG winner was ever released before. Next week Madrigal plays. If the Twins played in the ALE they would be featured on ESPN every day but it's only the ALC.
  5. 3B is a really tough call. The ALC was an embarrassment last year at minus 64.
  6. The hockey teams go thru quarantine and are playing in two separate bubbles. No other travel is involved. Canada does not consider the US a safe border right now. The Blue Jay's will not be returning there either.
  7. Sox SP's will be Giolito, Keuchel and Cease. Mazzara to the IL but Moncada played against the Cubs Monday.
  8. There is one team that will have real fans cheering during the season. You are playing them tomorrow.
  9. At first I was not so impressed with the Twin pitching moves but their rotation is better than the Chisox. Dylan Cease is pitching better and will have to step up. Michael Kopech is flaking out somewhere and who knows. Dane Dunning will get a chance to step up and pitch. Gio Gonzalez is OK and Carlos Rodon should be ready. Giolito and Keuchel look solid. The Sox generally don't match up or stand up well against the Twins. The lineup is gelling and could be dangerous. Luis Robert has to stay healthy of course but is looking like a beast so far. Right now people are in awe of his hitting. No tickets available for these three games. Big challenge looming for the other guys from Chitown.
  10. Quite the slugger. The Twins made a smart move with three years and out.
  11. This topic answers in part why they paid 3/50 to keep Abreu around. One because the owner said to pay the man but mostly because Jose is leader of the Sox Cubano/ Latinx contingent. Assuming Luis Robert stays healthy the ALC major market squad is threatening to escape the minor leagues this season. No one has predicted they will overtake the Twins but they might win a few games. Jose's 2019 was roughly competitive with Kris Bryant and neither can field. The Sox have a ward full of young TJ arms that could return and help out. Both teams will rely on pitching to reach their goals.
