  1. He makes 23 million a year... So I'd fine him 100 bucks for everything... double dipping a potato chip... Taking a selfie... Letting a strike go by... Getting the words to Purple Haze wrong.
  2. If I'm guessing right... You belong to the Church of Family and Outdoor Barbecue.
  3. I actually like these Colors.
  4. Always a "Head and Shoulders" reference with Mauer.
  5. This post is brilliant on a couple of levels.
  6. Escobar at the plate is getting kinda weird. He's just keeps stroking it. Kinda like a car that you drive for 100,000 miles without changing the oil. You'd think it would eventually cause you problems but it still gets you to work and back.
  7. One step at a time... Let's advance him to a double next... He can skip the triple and go straight to the homer after that... Just like the Triple is Triple A. Actually... I'm optimistic now about Hicks... Something as simple as stop swinging from his crappy side could do wonders. Now if we can just work on his watching the pitchers back foot when taking a lead at first.
  8. He usually looks unimpressive from the left side... I'm all for it.
  9. I promise to be very patient with Aaron Hicks... I have high hopes for him. However... At this moment in time... I feel it was the Twins Front Office showing the lack of patience by giving him the starting job prematurely. In my opinion... His bat isn't ready... I rarely see him hit the ball hard. Defensively... He needs work on balls hit over his head and I'd like to see him become more aggressive with his arm. He has a hose... I'd like to see him just attack with it on occasion.
  10. Current MLB backups: Colorado is worth a phone call because they are kinda silly with CF options right now... both Drew Stubbs and Brandon Barnes would look good in a Twins uniform. The Cards are also worth a call... If Bourjos is too expensive... Maybe the price is lower for Jon Jay. The Pirates are worth a call... Just to see if Jose Tabata could be had cheaply. I've also been a fan of Josh Harrison. I've never seen him play CF but I think he could. AAAA: I would be interested in both Tony Campana and Julio Borbon... Really interested. And I think Melky Mesa would be a lottery ticket... And you can't win the lottery unless you buy a ticket. Chances are... you just gave away a Buck but Melky Mesa could payoff big.
  11. Game-time forecast: Sunny. Winds blowing out to right field at 10-15 m.p.h. Temperature near 70. If you draw a line up and you reach the sky. You probably are not using Paper. Chitown will draw that lineup... Right Here. Twins: SP, Nolasco Dozier 2B Mauer 1B Plouffe 3B Suzuki C Nunez LF Parmelee RF Escobar SS Santana CF Nolasco P (oy!) Giants: SP, Bumgarner Blanco CF Pence RF Posey C Sandoval 3B Morse 1B Colvin LF Crawford SS Hicks 2B Bumgarner P ------------------------------------------------- Things to Think About: 1. The Rubber band -- Holy Cow... This Rubber Band thing is starting to become a thing. The Twins just seem to snap back to .500 and it doesn't seem to matter which direction they pressure the rubber band. It looks like it is tattered and torn yet it seems to hold firm. The Twins are 23-23 so the Rubber band is at rest. After today's game it will only feel slight pressure. How long will it hold? I don't know but I'd like to see it hang tight until July. 2. Madison Bumgarner -- Madison was named after Eau Claire Wisconsin but his parents didn't want to make it obvious so they disguised it a little. He grew up in North Carolina and led his team to a state championship... which led to a 1st round selection... 10th overall... in the 2007 draft. It didn't take long for him... He threw his first pitch in the majors in 2009 just two years out of High School. It seems like he has been in the majors forever but the truth is... He's only 16 years old. Twins hitters need to focus on two pitches. A mid to low 90's fastball and a slider that he throws a lot. He'll also mix in a change and curve just to piss you off because you were concentrating on his fastball and slider. 3. Offense -- The Twins are 2-2 in this national league road trip. Yet it really hasn't been the offense... has it. The Twins bats have cooled considerably and when you consider that Parmelee is holding down the clean up spot. It really isn't that surprising. That is not a knock on Parmelee but more of a knock on everyone else... Including TC Bear. 4. Rochester -- Willingham and Arcia return tomorrow so we can think those two specifically tomorrow. Today... It's time to think about who is making a trip to Rochester to make room for them after the game. Mainly because it will be a longer flight for them. I think we can all agree that Herrmann is one... Who is the 2nd??? It's gotta be between Parmelee, Colabello Santana and Nunez. I believe we risk losing Parmelee if we send him down. I don't know about the rest... The decision should be interesting. 5. Sunscreen -- Osmosis Skincare has developed a product... Drinkable Sunscreen. Yep... For those of you that are tired of gooping up and spreading it all over your body and then picking up a beer only to have it slide out of your greasy hands. You can now drink your sunscreen. It sounds like an interesting invention but with it... I wonder what my wife will do when the family goes outside for an extended time. It has always been her that calls us back to the car because we started moving into the sun totally exposed to the certain death before us. We stand there while she puts sun screen over all of us. We spin around when she asks... We put our arms up when she asks and we don't move forward until we ask her... Are we done? She gives the go ahead and the vacation begins.
  12. The sink isn't pronounced as usual... but it's there.
  13. Ok... Ummm.... He's visits Children's Hospitals weekly. He does a Ventriloquism act where you can clearly see his lips move.
  14. He's only player on the roster who faced National League Guys... He's left handed and his name is easier to spell than Colabello
  15. And Arcia and Hammer will be here Monday.
  16. Another lesson as a young child. If you run full speed into a fire hydrant. The pointy valve part of the hydrant. Can keep you Soprano.
  17. Deduno is losing it. This don't look good
  18. Life would be awesome if you could slide... Up
  19. Ok... Maybe next AB for Deduno
  20. Bark it's been awhile... Good to read you again
  21. Bannisters are where I learned the ability to hit High Notes. It happened at the end of the slide.
  22. Deduno... Just get him a run.
