  1. Yep... Nunez just missed catching that White Sox break.
  2. If we get lucky... We might get to see some bonus baseball!!! Extra Innings Bay-Bee!!!
  3. There are so many Cubans on the base paths... The infield dirt is now called... Little Little Havana.
  4. I kinda wish... Viciedo would charge the mound.
  5. Harrelson also once said that Henry Winkler reminded him of Robin Ventura so... Who knows. Hawk also said that Kirstie Alley reminded him of Pete Incaviglia.
  6. I continue to have no problem with Nunez.
  7. Relax Arcia... He's out of his shoes right now.
  8. You know baseball season is winding down when I type a series of "you know baseball season is winding down" things.
  9. You know baseball season is winding down when Bernier is on the roster
  10. You know baseball season is winding down when it's dark at 8P
  11. They did... Although... NDSU is not my team. I typically wish ill of them. I wished ill so hard once that a backup linebacker sneezed. I'm still working on it. I got a ways to go.
  12. I suppose national title hopes were dashed. I was liking the Gophers chances after Eastern Illinois and Middle Tennessee State. It looks like the Gophers may struggle with schools that don't have a direction in their name. If Kill would just schedule Louisiana Schools... They could run the table.
  13. I read that fast and thought you typed... Release the Kitten and I nodded my head in agreement.
  14. In duration but not frequency... And I contend that Kansas City has been doing it since Willie Wilson. The Twins... Mmm... In my opinion... They lack the hot streak part of the equation.
  15. I suppose... All though... That mellows my harshness and I didn't want to do that.
  16. 17 Strikeouts is beyond words. I didn't see the game but if you factor in that 4 of those K's came against the relievers. I don't think it was all Quintana. I'm guessing a large part has to be attached to our Twins. Again... I didn't see the game but 17 strikeouts is beyond words.
  17. My two cents Mauer started out shaky but in my opinion... He has been close to exceptional of late. I have no 1B worries at all. Dozier... In my opinion has been as good a 2B as anyone at the position in baseball. Plouffe has been much improved Escobar is serviceable at SS... All in All though... I'd like to see improvement here. Nunez... Has been great defensively... Especially at 3B... Not so much in the OF... Whatever the Yankee fans were screaming about has not arrived in Minnesota. I'm proud of Santana... The Twins front office choked assessing CF and Santana had to bail them out. With more reps Santana could turn into a wonderful OF. His improvement has been noticeable. Arcia has a great arm... I take that as a positive. Schafer has improved the overall OF situation... Hammer was well below par. Collectively... I think the Twins will be alright defensively. They just gotta sync up with the pitchers... They seem to go bad together. When the defense makes a miscue... The pitchers don't pick them up and vice versa. When the pitchers get into a hole and need that amazing play... They don't get it. The Twins focus needs to be pitching... pitching and more pitching. This D could support improve pitching. I almost forgot about Vargas. He has done a fine job defensively at DH.
  18. That's lazy defense Escobar!!! Slow to the ball and then reaching is not how the pros do it.
  19. Arica... Seemingly has been going the other way more. I think that is good news!!! Just trying to be positive... Did it work?
  20. I've spent the last two years criticizing his defensive play. So Much so... That I won't criticize him this year. I'm not looking at defensive WAR... I'm just using my eyeball. He's moving right and he's moving left. He's getting to baseballs that he didn't get to last year. He's getting dirty when his uniform was clean in years past. He's making the majority of plays he should make and he's making a few plays that he shouldn't make. In order to fair... If he deserved criticism in past years and I think he did deserve it. In my mind... He deserves praise this year. The work that he has put in this year is noticeable to me. I've always felt that players can and do get better. Trevor is an example of that.
