  1. My god... Trevor Plouffe has really let himself go.
  2. I haven't been noticing those signs of decent contact. I'd sit him with a message to try and get his head right for the Yankees series and I'd tell him that he has Grossman ready to hit in the 3 spot again if he doesn't get things turned around pronto. Sano has been walking up to the plate with no plan whatsoever from what I can tell. You gotta fix him and sometimes you fix him by letting him know there are consequences.
  3. I know that some will look at that throw and be upset with his lack of baseball IQ. However... Personally I'd rather have an error of enthusiasm over an error of un-enthusiasm, umm... non-enthusiasm, or... whatever the opposite of enthusiasm is.
  4. Alright Here we go again. Molly obviously wanted to sit Sano because he is striking out every single time he steps to the plate. Molly is trying to not stack up his left and right handed batters so the the Rays or any team can bring in a left hander and roll through 3 or 4 left handers in a row. So with 5 left handers in the lineup he is spacing them out in the 2. Mauer 4. Rosario 5. Morrison 7. Kepler 9. Castro Molly then takes his right handed and switch hitting batters and plugs in the rest. Dozier always hits first so 1. Dozier 2. Mauer 4. Rosario 5. Morrison 7. Kepler 9. Castro He plans on playing Grossman, Escobar and Adrianaza and he has them left to plug in at 3 6 and 8 spots. Molitor chooses Grossman over Escobar for the 3rd slot.
  5. See... Now we are all wishing that Phil Hughes was still pitching.
  6. Yeah... that's why I would have thrown Odorizzi if it's my call. It wasn't my call. I called but the person on the other end of the phone said it wasn't my call.
  7. LOL... What Rosario just did can't be justified at the Major League Level.
  8. From my Radio days... I recall that Kommissar means Public Official in German. I'm feeling a little strange cheering for a public official.
  9. And from where he would have been positioned for Kepler at the plate. In the on deck circle... without a glove.
  10. That was awesome baseball. Well struck ball... Extreme effort by the center fielder and a positive Twins result.
  11. Considering that most were feeling the game would be 12-0 by the time Molly brought the hook. He was amazing! He did OK... I didn't see any pitches that were going to fool anyone but he kept the ball out of trouble the best he could.
  12. I'm not so sure. Joe Mauer told me that Phil told him that he was really bothered by your reaction to his comment which he claims was taken out of context by the reporter. As a result... he over compensated on the mound and it caused an injury to his shoulder.
  13. It's just takes some focus. I'm confident that If they try... they can catch the Giants.
  14. If you had a conversation with every baseball fan in the world and if you made a list of all the players mentioned who have "no business playing in the big league" and those players were actually not playing in the big leagues. Contraction talk would be back and much scarier.
  15. This is the leader for POTG at the first quarter pole.
  16. Not True... We are playing with "House Money" until August.
  17. I would have went with Odorizzi today and try avoid the sweep. But... 6 of 1 and half dozen of another.
  18. I tend to not worry about the batting order very much. However... My guess... With Sano out of the lineup we are right handed weak. Molitor is trying to balance the left and right handed hitters in the lineup so the Rays just can't bring in a left hander to face multiple left handers in a row. If Kepler moves to the 3 spot then he would have Mauer, Kepler, Rosario and Morrison all lefties 2, 3 ,4 and 5. And I'm also guessing that since Dozier hits in the #1 spot always... Grossman became the preferred choice between Escobar and Adrianaza to move into the Right Handed Hole 3 spot.
  19. Should have picked up CJ Cron for my fantasy team.
  20. Every team wins 54 and Every team loses 54... it's the other 54 games that matter and we haven't reached those games yet.
  21. This is why most players only give standard cliches while being interviewed. Any time they step off the script... they are judged and usually judged harshly. My wife once asked me if I liked the Tuna Fish Jello she made. If I would have consulted my Public Relations guy before responding, I would have been advised to say "We are taking this one meal at a time" "I have nothing but the utmost respect for this Tuna Fish Jello". "You are always the first one in the Kitchen and the last one out" "You have always done all the little things right". Instead... I made a comment about not combining the Tuna and the Jello and I learned my lesson. The next time I did a much better job responding to her question when she made Tapioca Fish Sticks.
