Paul: You still want me to throw him on Tuesday. Milone is going to be in my office tomorrow morning saying... "I'm out of the rotation for that" what am I going to tell Tommy? Terry: Tell him that Thrylos says he's looking sharp and needs a chance. Paul: I swear to god... I'm going to throw this cell phone across the room... It's going to be loud... you will probably wonder what that was and I won't be anywhere near the phone to explain to you what it was. Terry: Paul... you got to get out and talk to the press now... I need you to put this game behind you and get ready for tomorrow. It's Bomber Hat Day. -
I think Phil Hughes stunk tonight to. But you gotta admit... Meyer was WAYYYYYYY OFF... I Mean WAYYYYYY Off.

I have never said this about the Twins before. I've heard other people say it before and I pretty much rolled my eyes. But Yeah... Right now... in my opinion... they are out of whack.

The other 40 man options were also crispy at the time. Only Meyer and Chargois were somewhat fresh options. But the odd thing was... TR was quoted by Berardino that Meyer was called up because we had starting pitcher issues. This thing just doesn't add up. I've been eating popcorn since Monday to watch this whole movie.

It looks like a communication breakdown... difference of opinion... maybe even a battle of wills. I think Baseball is a funny game and anything can happen from day to day.

I Think Terry liked what he saw or was hearing out of Rochester. That didn't translate to Paul.

I think Terry Ryan called Meyer up without talking to Paul. I think they have been having a lot of conversations about it since. I think there will be another conversation tonight and I think it might be an interesting one. I have no idea what's happening behind those doors... but I've been behind enough doors to know what happens behind them. Actions speak louder than words. Meyer hasn't been pitching and Ryan hasn't been sending him down. We got ourselves a difference of opinion... in my opinion.

I'd never teach that. 6 8 guys have such awesome reach. When they stride and extend. Makes 98 look like 103. He's just got to get those mechanics down. If he hasn't yet... It's on Meyer.

The same world that gives Kepler is only start against a left hander. I'll bet a large sum of money that Molitor wasn't very interested in the news that Ryan Called him up. But also keep in mind... Molitor isn't stupid... He's probably getting session reports from Neil Allen as well. Meyer wasn't supported... that is for sure but... he's got some info. If Neil comes back and says... Meyer is spot on... Mechanics look great... the ball is popping. 2nd Pitches have command. Molly would listen.

I would have handled it different but you are correct. It also shows that Molly was probably right to trust his judgement and not throw Meyer on Monday after he was called up. Meyer was brutal... and it's fault but he didn't have much support. Tonight... I would have left him in to work some kinks out if he could. You might as well send him straight down to AAA now. Forget the Tuesday start... Molitor is going to grit his teeth if he's forced to start him on Tuesday.

A couple of other thoughts... Suzuki didn't even set a target on that VMart double and why would he pitch VMart outside with the shift deployed?

He hasn't thrown in 8 days... He seriously needs a refresher. Waiting until Tuesday would be too long.

Vikings Gave up their 3rd this year to the Dolphins for the Dolphins 3rd and 4th next year. I hope the Dolphins suck this year.

Wow I don't think he threw one strike that inning. Somebody get that kid a sedative. That has to be nerves.
