    One of the middle IF's or a Bullpen Guy. Very slim in my mind. It has to be Ramirez. Someone will get hurt and DL'ed before decision time.

    Unless Arcia goes into an awful slump... He's gotta have a spot on the big club nailed down. After Mauer... He's our best hitter right now. You don't send that down when you are playing .500 ball. I think Hicks stays as well for CF duties and he is improving. Ramirez draws the short straw in my opinion and I feel bad about that. I think he can hit a little from what I've seen so far. Back to Arcia... He's been my new... I'm not leaving the room until he is done hitting player. He's legit and he's ours. Woo Hoo!!!

    I fully admit to cherry picking. Listing the successful high payroll teams would not have fit my point. My point was... Here are a list of teams who spent and are gulping thus far in 2013. We can make another list from 2012 and 2011 and so forth. I simply continue to care very little about payroll. I care to a point but can easily walk away from it because the Angels brought in Pujols... everyone predicted them to win it all and they didn't come close. This year they bring in Hamilton... Everyone predicted them to win it all and they are now talking about the end of Scioscia. I think using the payroll argument is overly simplistic. That's all.

    It was a great idea... Parm has been well above average on D IMO... He has shown range... He plays a wall as well as you can and a solid arm. I think Ashbury and I were saying that we didn't expect that... We were thinking he'd be Doumit like almost.

    But on the subject of sit coms... Taxi is still my all time favorite. Barney Miller was the best sit com theme.

    Oh we can't do sitcoms every night. We need a fresh side topic idea and it usually arrives fairly naturally. It probably won't happen tonight with two innings left but who knows.

    Wife's birthday... Had Dinner with the family. Straining to watch the game in the far corner and saying "what" a lot when people were talking to me. cuz I was unfocused trying to watch the game.

    I continue to care very very little about how much we spend or don't spend. I care about... If the team gets key hits, makes key pitches and key plays in the field and I'm not sure that Team Payroll is related to those important facets of the game. The Dodgers are spending 216 million and in last place. The Angels are spending 127 Million and in last place. The White Sox are spending 119 Million and in last place. The Jays are spending 117 Million and in last place. The Cubs are spending 104 Million and in last place. Similiar stories every year.

    Knud... I agree with everything you say in this post. But I'd like to add a couple of things. 1. Personally... I really have high expectations for Deduno... I think he can produce and I'm waiting patiently for the chance to see Deduno this year. My expectation for Hernandez isn't nearly as high and its not even close. 2. My expectations for Gibson are higher than Deduno for the future and less than Deduno for the immediate present but higher than Hernandez and it ain't close... Once again... I'm patiently waiting for that chance to see Gibson this year. 3. Here is where I go off the tracks tho... Hernandez had a great April... Followed by two terrible starts in May. I'm willing to tolerate one more start for Hernandez to see if its April like. Not that he's earned it... But... Deduno and Gibson haven't earned it either and neither are guarantees. Hernandez's current ERA... Suggests to me... That he has one foot in AAA.
