    People may be grilling Perez, but let's not forget that the offense this series has been pretty dreadful. 9 runs through 22 innings against a team with over a 5 ERA is pretty bad for the Twins standards

    In my opinion it should depend on how those 3 runs were scored. A pitcher who's pitched 6 innings gave up 1 hit, 2 walks and a 3 run HR is quality, but a pitcher who's pitched 6 innings and gave up 10 hits and 3 runs is not quality. What Perez gave us today is quality for sure. 1 bad inning and that was it.

    What a trash call. Sano deserves to be rewarded for that eye. Absolutely terrible umping behind the plate this series.

    To the people that have lost faith in Perez already, the last 3 innings are what Perez can be and what he has been for a large portion of the year for the Twins. He's had a rough stretch, but I believe he is a much better pitcher than what he was at Texas.

    Sometimes the best pitch you'll see that at bat is the first pitch because the pitcher wants to get it over the plate for strike 1. In this case Gonzalez saw a hitable pitch, but didn't square it up

    Schoop was out by a mile trying to stretch that single. Terrible read and not a good call when down by two. Runners in scoring position is great, but making the final out of the inning on the base paths is not great. Twins have obviously shown the ability to drive balls into the gaps or over the fence so while that extra base would be nice it's not worth the risk especially for a slower guy like Schoop.

    Honestly his stuff isn't even all that great (7.3 K/9). The only thing that was making him somewhat decent for the first couple weeks was his command, but if that continues to be bad then he should be the first one to be kicked out of the BP if the Twins get an arm before the deadline.
