    IMHO, they did the right thing putting him on the 10-day IL for a maintenance break going into a road trip against non-divisional teams. It's better that having him be day-to-day or taking up DH PAs that would result in Miranda on the bench while Martin or Margot are out in CF. I want Buck healthy in September when the Twins have to travel to KC, Cleveland and Boston. Twins are 15 games over .500 (WC#2) when Buck plays and exactly .500 (outside-looking-in) when he doesn't. Go Twins!!

    Got to see my first live Witt, Jr. homer today. Yeah! Seriously though, I thought Varland pitched better than I expected until the DeJong homer. Louie seemed like he got into empty the tank mode and threw the new Royal nothing but fastballs including the pipe shot that was crushed. Quality start anyway. Injury gods owe us at least a couple quick heals and a handful of shield blessings for McCarthy. I expect Buxton and Correa to heal up quickly, and then, along with Lewis, to be healthy for the balance of the regular and post-season.
