  1. Dick and Bert are......so GrandPa MLB? Twins MLB corporate needs to address...... Your future ticket holders are 19-35...not 60+? Dave Flemming...SF KNBR....get!?
  2. Rosario to Schoop to Castro.... (even though Bert/Dick had the initial call to Polanco..(fart broadcast call...age issues here?). The key play to Twins win......22April2019
  3. "In a 14-season career, he batted .245 with 271 home runs and 919 RBIs in 1800 games. Brunansky averaged 24 home runs per 162 games. He finished his career with 1543 hits in 6289 at bats, 69 stolen bases, and 306 doubles." Wikipedia "Following the 1982 season, Brunansky became a fixture in right field for the Twins starting there through the 1987 season." Wikipedia "He was the Twins sole All-Star representative in 1985 and was a starter for the World Champion 1987 Minnesota Twins during what was arguably his best overall season (hitting .259, with 32 HR, 85 RBI and 83 Runs). Brunansky helped the Twins upset the Detroit Tigers in the American League Championship Series by hitting .412 with 2 home runs and 9 RBI in the 5-game series. He then had a somewhat invisibile World Series, only hitting .200 with one RBI. Just months after playing each other in the World Series, the Twins shocked both their fans and Tom Brunansky by trading him on 22 April 1988 to the St. Louis Cardinals for second baseman Tom Herr." Wikipedia "Following retirement, Brunansky was hired in 2004 as the coach for the Poway High School baseball team in Poway, California." Wikipedia We all love "Bruno". But was he the absolute worst Twins Batting Coach that Buxton and Sano had to deal with when they made the Majors? My take: Yes HYPER intense dude when Bux and Sano needed a gentle guiding hand into the Show.... Too bad...they are still dealing with the scars?
  4. 12-7 on April 21st...better than anybody expected. Keuchel/Kimbrel? Pass. MLB semi-elite? No doubt. MLB semi-doubts? No doubt. Fight tooth and nail the next 2 1/2 months, and then be super aggressive at the Trade Deadline... Best way to the playoffs....not reacting in April...good start or bad start.
  5. Twins Daily Brothers and Sisters: Go check out ESPN.com MLB page and CBS Sports.com MLB page and see if you can find ANY story on the Twins sweep of the Orioles or 11 home runs in Saturday's double header? Answer: Nope If Yankees, Red Sox, Nationals, Phillies, Astros and/or the Dodgers, it would be a greater story than Babe Ruth and hot dogs at stadium concessions? Minnesota will be perpetually dismissed until the Twins win 3 consecutive World Series and then teeth-gnashing grudgingly by National Media... We're off the radar guys....lets do a NORAD surprise attack in 2019?
  6. Per my Twitter comment, should Byron be slotted in RF going forward? Eliminate Perpendicular wall closures vs Oblique? Twins lose speed to deep center vs the predictable Bux annual IR. WAR maybe -2? Otherwise BB on IR for 1/3 to 1/2 each season going forward with his present position. It's in his DNA to chase-crash on every flyball to deep center. Fine. Kepler = CF; Bux = RF Scary: we have to close our eyes when Max and Buck converge on a ball to deep right-center...... Just my thoughts..... Thanks....
  7. My question is sincere... Why would Baldelli/Twins allow CLE runners to advance from: 1. Second to Third and 2. First to Second on consecutive uncontested pitches in the top of the 9th with a six run lead and two outs? Why not a catcher throw? Why uncontested? Thanks!!!
  8. Good stuff! Anything in that dataset that gives the odds the Mississippi River will rise to the level of the Lake Street Bridge on opening day?
  9. Kimbrel and Keuchel have flaws that all MLB FO's see...Twins included. MLB ownership will make these guys squirm until 5 days before Season Opener and sign for 1 year deals....Hopefully, FalVine will bypass both...
  10. For what it's worth, MLBRadio/SiriusXM had these comments re: Minnesota Twins this afternoon ( rare when the even mention): 1. Sano a "bust" and left at that... 2. Players like Kepler and Grossman good but not the type to contend in a winnable Division.. 3. FO should go all in on Robinson Cano.. 4. FO should also go all in on Edwin Diaz.. That was it....
  11. Followed TwinsDaily for years..glad to join the community! Thought occurred to me today after reflecting on Joe Maurer's retirement announcement. Minnesota Twins have a vacancy at the First Base coaching position. How cool would it be if they were to hire Joe to fill that spot in 2019? Not rocket science...Joe knows how it works...would command incredible respect from both the Twins young studs and MLB opponents? Bonus: get to see Mr. # 7 for many more years in uniform! Do it FalVine! Thanks.. Lasorda_This_Out
