    I’m old enough to remember the. ‘65 World Series, and this is the first time I’ve seen the word “commensal” in a sports story. Very nice!

    All seem like good options, but Cory P seems the best. Gleeman and Bonnes probably wouldn’t work out- Gleeman is a very astute baseball guy and a terrific writer, but I think listeners would soon tire of his uncontrollable need to dominate every single conversation.

    Bombo Rivera played three seasons for the Twins in the late 70s. Not a great player, but everybody definitely loved the name.

    No reasons to fret if the goal is to win the division. Plenty of reasons to fret if the goal is to be a serious contender in the playoffs.
