  1. The good news is, we're straddling the .500 mark, despite playing some poor baseball. At anytime we can get hot and start piecing things together. At least we don't have a games behind hole to dig ourselves out of. If we play this poorly now and still lead the decision, just think what we can do, when these young guys gain experience and some of the injured guys get back. As much as I am frustrated with their performance, I have to believe we can turn things around, especially playing in the AL Central.
  2. Inept or poor performing, maybe. I wouldn't call any person garbage.
  3. So how are umps rated or graded on their performance? It's based on replays of games reviewed. So there you go..............bring on Robo umps, or end the discussion.
  4. Some make it sound like a conspiracy theory. Come on!
  5. Vazquez needs to take that outside pitch to right field. He's looking to crank one to the LF warning track, I guess.
  6. The mere fact they're in the Eastern Div, and have had games against most division rivals..........................
  7. We let Gausman work out of a 1st inning jam, and the Jays score. Does this picture look familiar? Oh well, it's only a game, and another 2-3 hrs shot.
  8. With Buck's speed and runners on 1st and 2nd, no out, he has to hit that on the ground, he has to.
  9. The twins manager doesn't really put a whole lot of stock in history. His presser the other day mentioned how he wants to have the team concentrate on the next game, and put previous games out of their mind. I found it interesting, since scholars think of history as a ways of how we act and react to current or upcoming situations. At any rate I think the twins manager looks at each lineup as a clean slate. Otherwise, how can you not react to what guys have previously done on a more consistent basis.
  10. Fielding the ball wasn't his problem, he had the throwing yips.
  11. New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton previously had the record for the hardest-hit ball, reaching 122.2 mph in 2017 and again last year. As of August 2022, per Google.
  12. Once a pitcher has faced the required 3 hitters, there is nothing in the rules that states the reliever has to give up a run or more.
  13. Maybe that's the formula for Twins wins.............dirty baseball. So far.
  14. Why doesn't Duran garner the same respect as other closers? He can throw 100 mph or better. Answer: Mixes a few walks and center cut pitches, I' m guessing
  15. Does CC get a pinch hit shot, despite his sore heel?
  16. Imagine if you're a season ticket holder.
  17. Cobb just keeps breezing along. A nice spring evening walk in the park.
